A few pics on my SV08 I picked up last week.
My first V8 - 20yr HSV dream fullfilled after seeing my first VLSSGroupA in 88.
Stock at this stage, Tune & OTRCAI when I can find a good place on the SunCoast.

Mate the Calais V is a lease car that goes very soon. So wanted to get a pic while I had both at the same time.
The Calais V has been an AWESOME car. I've owned VH, VN, VR, VS, VT, VY, VYII and now the VE Calais V before the SV08 (all company cars till the SV08!).
And the first day I drove the VE Calais V home I way shocked at the step up in chassis and steering the VE range had over the previous models. Holden has REALLY lifted its game with the VE.

Pumped - Please call em out!
I need a roadworthy to get the rego sorted out, then a OTRCAI & Tune are up very soon.
(And if I have a weak moment, lowered, cam, exhaust and possible forced induction! :driving:)

Thanks Wonky!
Have you still got the Orrsomm CAI? Happy with it?
I'm just about to jump in, but apparently GM Motorsport in Melbourne are developing a new VE OTRCAI which is due very soon, so I'm thinking of waiting for that.

Was very happy with the Orssom on my sedan but have the DUS OTR on the ute now and feel it's even better! Looks great (even more factory looking) and judging by my results and the many at Chev's who've followed me down that path it's producing great results on everything! :goodjob: The DUS OTR is virtually all anyone at Chev's is using now.
I got mine in white to suit my white car and white engine covers but most are getting them in black, which also look fantastic!! :yup:

ouch that would of done a few bucks damage....
should see if they will colour code the bottom of that senator while its in at the paint shop, just my opinion. also it was a factory option to colour code these just not many people know that i think.
p.s look how fat those rears look on the back of the truck:bow:

Awesome Senator you have there mate. That is really disappointing with the damage from the roo :( Hope it all gets sorted. I wouldn't get it colour coded all the same colour I think its great with the gloss black already done, some senator models have just plain black plastic.

The SV08's had a polished Blk two tone standard, Senator Signatures have a Matt Black strip along the bottom which can be optioned out.
I love it and will leave it on. I've loved two tone Holdens since the VK Calais and ever since.
Repairs quote is $12k, getting repaired now at Cooroy Smash repairs and Tom down there has just taken delivery of his VE R8, so I'm confident he'll do a great job with the Senator.

Nice Senator SV08 there mate,
What a F@$k'n mess the roo made. Hope it all gets repaired for you asap. We looked at an SV08 but i couldn't get a black one so we bought a Black VE Senator Signature instead, but either way they are beautiful cars. What plans do you have for it once you get it back?
Did you buy that one from sutton's holden in N.S.W.
Cheers Senator (Andy)

Yep got the SV08 from Suttons.
I've already booked in for Tune & OTR for as soon as it comes out of the panel shop.
I'm 50/50 on the Walkinshaw MRC Lowering Kit for $950 fitted, not sure if thats a bit expensive?

Are they only doing springs in it. Do you get to the Gold Coast much cause if you do go and see Chris at pedders southport cause they lowered my VE GTS with springs only and i think it was about $650 fitted, I actually went with extreme coil overs this time and i think it was about $2k for fully adjustable ones in height and damper, also if you were down this way you could get a price for Tune and Otr from Hi-Torque Performance they done all mine and we couldn't be happier? Cheers and Good luck with it all. If you want to go down that coil over path for a VE i think Hi-Torque might have a set as well but they are the earlier one adjustable in height only and they would sell them cheap i reckon?. Andy
The reason i asked about the suttons thing caus i looked a buying it but i just couldn't turn the misses around to the silver. Cheers

Beautiful car mate, I cringed when I saw what happen! SV08 are the most complete HSV if you ask me. The two tone is what makes the car!
hope the repair goes well.

Update and updated pics:
Tom at Cooroy Smash Repairs did a GREAT job with the Senator, and shes back good as new. Feels tight as a drum, new wheels, new radiator etc etc.
Shaun and the team at PowerTorque engines fitting an CAI and MAF Tune, as well as Walky springs to lower by 30mm.
The LS3 ran 250rwkw stock standard (on a stinking hot 38 degree day), and after OTRCAI and Tune, she pulled out 278rwkw. Not bad for a car without any exhaust or other mods.
BEFORE LOWERED - ROO DAMAGE ALL FIXED

Ahh - thats me for now I think.
Driveway wont allow it to be any lower.
The car was already maxxed me out financially, so these few mods will keep me happy for quite some time. (Unless I will the lotto of course)
