Ok so I picked up my Adventra today.:yahoo: 10/04 VZ LX8. Quicksilver in colour, black leather, stock as a rock except for tinted windows and the flares have been colour coded. Heres some pics.

Planned mods are very little as it is our daily family wagon. But at this stage a full detail (the yard I got it from said that it was done.....pffft), lowered a bit, PDR (paintless dent removal) of some of the small dents it has, headlight covers and bonnet protector, a couple of touch ups here and there (respray bumpers, flares, roof racks) Later on a set of wheels, OTR, MAFless tune and an exhaust.

Im not after a rocket, just a clean tidy daily thats neat.

Love the LX8, a future classic I reckon. So congratulations on the purchase of a great car.....and by the way, it already looks pretty "neat" to me. Enjoy.
Cheers, Pickles.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. The windows are already tinted believe it or not, just not very dark. But I might get it redone later on in the piece.

Had a bit of a look around at wheels today and cant find anything that I like that is load rated, which is a shame. But something will come up.:(

And I also went out and spent a motsa on some Autoglym polish, wax, leather conditioner, chamios blah blah to get it lookin right.

One thing that Im curious about is if you can run an OTR CAI with the MAF infront of the TB. I havent searched yet, but I cant see why not. A mate of mine has an OTR that he said I can have for next to nothin, and ATM cant really afford a MAFless tune.

Cheers

You'll love the LX8 they are great once they are properly tuned they go heaps better and fuel economy is substantially better. Even though the wife has just brought a Ls3 clubby wagon as good as it is I still have a soft spot for our old Lx8.

Been a bit busy and havent had the time to update. Gave the Addy a really good clean up a few weeks back and tooks some pics.

My Di Filippo exhaust arrived yesterday so I got stuck into it and fitted it today. Car is still very quiet (which is great) but has that roar when you get up it.

Also got around to painting the bonnet that I made up for it using an FG XR8 bonnet buldge. I have still kept the original so I can swap between them as I feel the urge.

I think that it suits the lines and the bulkyness of the Addy spot on. It is a personal preference thing I guess. Some people will squirm at the fact that a Ford bit was put onto a Holden, but personally Im not phased by it at all.

Anyways some pics for you guys to decide for yourselves.

Give Con @ Pedders Suspension Granville a call, he should remember what he used to get it sitting at that height.

Been a while since Ive been on here so I thought Id give a quick update for anyone who'se interested.

Not much has happened mod wise. Ive removed and painted the alloy bumper and side skirt inserts in a metallic grey. While I was at it, I also gave the grille a quick splash of colour. Also got around to giving the car another good detail using AutoGlym stuff. Some pics.

It kinda needed a good clean after I took it on a bit of an off road excursion. Nothing too major, just some national forest dirt roads.

Next job to tackle will be removing the roof rails and paint them up properly, probably in the same grey I did the alloy inserts.
