Settle down ... re the strut bars. The VE is one car that definately does not need a strut bar. Pedders in the USA flog them over there simply because the Americans have not realised that the VE/G8 has a welded firewall unlike the previous models that had a firewall stuck in with glue. Hence pre VEs needed a strut bar, but the VE certainly does not. I do not understand why Pedders even bothered to make one for the VE ...money maker but they do NOT need them.
seeyalater...Ron (I get that many times each day .... I should change to Bill or George or anything but .... you get the picture)

Well after thinking about new suspension for a few years i finally took the car down to Pedders for a 'look over' knowing something was stuffed in the front end. I also knew i couldn't resist just replacing the old crap in the car rather than just fixing the broken bits. I have gone through so many shocks and bushes and swaybay links on this car it ain't funny. And while Holden have all replaced them under warranty it is time to put some decent stuff under the car.
So after talking to Con and hearing what was busted (bushes and front shock) and listening to Con's recommendations i have gone for the full XA adjustable coilovers and replacement of all the bushes in the car. I will get the adjustable swaybars another time.
Agreed with Con we will sit the car about 10mm lower, put a fair bit of neg caber in the front and set the shocks to 20 since he reckons i drive the thing hard :)
Can't wait to get the car back this arvo. First thing 2moro morning i will be out testing the new suspension on the old road up to Gosford.
Thanks to everyone on this forum who has written up their reports on the XA stuff from Pedders. Made my decision that little easier.
cheers
Dave

My nephew was given his Nan's old VS last chrissie, 250k on the clock and sloppy suspension to go with it. He went in to Pedders at Granville a couple of weeks ago. I took it out the next day, for a test, as I am fully aware of the cars bad habits, handling wise. Absolutely amazing, he got lowered springs, new shocks, and most of the sloppy old bushings replaced. It now has traction, and lots of it, and it actually stops properly. He hasn't done the sway bars yet, he needs to make some more cash first. Makes for an interesting compromise though, firm suspension, but still evident body roll. Maybe that's why he has so much traction.
Any way, big thanks to the guys at Granville, in and out in just over an hour, with a much safer vehicle.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on Con and his team. I know the store really appreciate it just as we at Head Office do. Peddders stores such as Cons are constantly raising the bar and setting a fantastic example for the rest of the group.

Firstly, great to see you here Con ! :)
I went to see Con at Granville on Sonny's recommendation.
Did a great job and squeezed me in at VERY short notice as the girl and i were about to head up the coast for a holiday...
I went to a different Pedders outlet once many years ago and swore i'd never use them again - thankfully Sonny changed my mind and i took my car to Con. For suspension work now, it'll only ever go back to Pedders Granville... :goodjob:

This is just another praising for Con and the guys at Pedders Suspension Granville.:bow::bow:
OK so I got the 20's put on the Adventra on thursday and both the wife and I decided that it needed to be lowered.
So friday morning I rang Con at Pedders Granville so see when he would be able to do it. As busy as he was, his reply was bring it in first thing tomorrow morning and I will get it done.
So there I was at 8AM on saturday morning. Spoke to Con and agreed on the ride height that I wanted. Then before I knew it, vollah, there it was. Within an hour and a half, my Adventra was done and I was gone.
The car rides absolutely spot on. Comfy smooth ride, doesnt scrub or bottom out and looks the goods.:goodjob:
So to Con and the guys at Pedders Granville, well done for another top job. Both my wife and I are extatic with the professionalism and quality of their workmanship. I even watched Con personally hand tighten the wheel nuts on my car with a tension wrench. I know its only a small thing, but its the little things that make the decision easy to decide where to take my car for suspension work. These guys are such a pleasure to deal with and I cant thank them enough.:bow::bow:
You guys have my highest recommendation.
And just a couple of quick before and after pics.

Thanks for the great words on Con and his team.
Why not enter The "Show Us Your Cars" Competition via the forum page on our web site http://www.pedders.com.au/offers/94/174.
Tell us briefly about your car(year model , all that guff), What Pedders gear is in it. and what you use it for. EG:Daily Drive, Sprints touring etc, etc.
You could be the proud owner of a Pedders Racing jacket.
Also a quick note on images. Although the angular pics look great (eg:your after shot)we often have issue cropping them down to Fit the image dimensions on the web page if the car is too close to edge of the image. A simple plain horizontal image works best.

Hey Con, having such a great reputation (and being just around the corner from me) I am intending to bring my car there when funds permit to have some work done. I was wondering if you could please send me some prices to setup a VYSSII sedan with XT's. Also any other bushes, swaybar, camber kits, upgrades etc. Looking at any options that would improve the cars handling/comfort or things that you may recommend doing ?? I'm guessing you would need the car to evaluate it properly but just ballpark figures including installation would be great. No rush mate just when you get a chance please.
Thanks,
Trev...

For Con and the Boys at Pedders Granville, you guys are legends. I took my other car to Con today for a suspension make over-and what a difference. I don’t think that my Subaru has ever handled that well ever before. The ride is great, the stance is mean and the car feels nice and tight.
Con replaced the shocks, springs, some front end bushes, recoed the steering rack and PS pump and new swaybars front and rear.
Cons work is magic and faultless. It wasn’t that long ago that we had our Adventra done by him and also is fantastic to drive.
My full support and appreciation goes to you guys at Pedders Granville. You know your stuff and don’t mess about. And that’s the way every automotive outlet should be. And definitely, no bull.

Thanks for the kind words, its good to see that we make a difference to members rides with the work we carry out on their vehicles, this is the type feedback that we thrive on as we work real hard to please our customers.Perhaps we can do a night at the premises where members can bring their rides,we can do some quick checks and explain how the products work with different type of suspension setups and types of shocks/bushes and what they do in different conditions and at the same time get to meet some new members.anyone interested put your hand up and we can make a list and if theres enough members,we can make a night of it.pizza's are on me !:)
