So i take it you have $3000 to spend?

I'd go full exhaust. Get yourself i nice V8 note and a bit more power.

Later on, OTRCAI and a tune and you'll be laughing

3000 grand!!!!!!.....

3,000,000!!!!!. Sweet!!!.

Lol - sorry - had to say it.

If you're a handy guy, 3 grand could see you possibly with exhaust, OTR, tune and a CAM. As i said, thats if you're a handy home mechanic that could do the work yourself? (beer / bourbon helps to get a few mates round).

Cam - $700
OTR - $300
Tune - $1000???
Exhaust $1000 ??

As i say, a lot of this is based on hunting for the right price, and doing a lot of elbow work yourself.

What're you after?

Power only?

Bit of power and some lowering?

Brakes?

Bling?

If it was my money and time over again with a limited budget:

Gear ratio change - $1000ish if you know where to shop.
CATback with opened CATS - $depends on what brand you buy but generic X-Force, redback etc - $750 & less if you can fit it yourself.
Mail order Tune and OTR - $1000 (depending on the OTR you buy)

If any coin leftover ... slotted rotors fitted yourself = $250-$400.

Good spread of mods which SHOULD make it a completely different car.

Don't get hung up on "headers". the stock cast headers flow well enough to use on LS turbo application and are not really needed on a relatively stock car.

400 ways to skin a cat ... chose the one that's to your liking and run with it.

I would get a decent cat back and OTR and tune done. If anything left get some slotted rotors which you can fit yourself to save a buck. A bog stock car doesnt really "need" headers straight up a good catback will do wonders on sound and a bit of power. If your after power go OTR and tune. My stock VYSS S2 was 208Rwkw had a OTR and Tune done came out 226.6Rwkw and from 490 to 550 Nm of torque.

Good pickup - you are right.

I think i paid a few hudred for my PAC 918's, and fitted them myself.

What has the car currently had done to it, sounds like you already have headers so I'm guessing you have a catback too?

3000 to spend hey!!

On my VY SS ute I just did Genie extractors, Metallic high flow cats, X-Force 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust, otrcai and mafless tune. This cost me about $3000.
Made 238rwkw and has made it a different car. Very happy with result.
