Well after 2 years and 240,000kms (yeah you read it right) of "same old, same old" it was time to do something new(ish) to the work hack.

Firstly having recently replaced the MRC I decided on some new rolling stock. Out with the HSV 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 Senator/Grange rims and, in with the 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 Adventra Inferno's in black with chrome...

Second.... no more huuuuge fuel bills...

I bit the bullet and put the barge on LPG.

Thanks to Auto Gas Injection LPG conversions in Frankston it now runs a JTG Icom direct rail Liquid Injection System. As I needed to retain my boot space so opted for the donut tank. Holds around 48l.

MY fuel bill has dropped from $60-90/day to $18-24/day.

:smilesandbanana::smilesandbanana: gotta love 45.3 cpl at the bowser.

The system is great, no side effects and although it set me back $5400 I will recover it in around 4-6months.

I have photos to share but need someone to host them for me...

Cheers,

Rob

Rob gave me a lift to Heathcote in this for the LS1 Nats - lovely car! :goodjob: Had a chance yet to determine how it goes on gas compared to petrol yet Rob?

By far the best thing for photos these days is Photobucket Rob. They stay there permanently, or until you delete them, whereas photos hosted on private servers get deleted sooner or later. There is a How To in forum help.

I'm always keen to see another Grange.

if you cant be bothered with getting a photobucket account you can email them to me. If you want to do it that way let me know and I'll pm you an email address to send them to.

Frank.

Thanks guys...

Firstly dont believe there is any power loss on the gas, if anything lost my pinging under load in 4th gear which is great.

APS across the road from the gas mob are doing EFI live tunes on the gas system and claim around 20-25kw increase in power due to the properties of the LPG and the liquid system. So probably going down that path soon.

YES!!! I am a limo driver :clown:

No real signs of wear and tear on the car besides a million stone chips on the front bar and an auto which is probably in need of a little tlc but still no slouch.

:yahoo:

Next up for the barge is:

1. 3.7:1 diff gears (with LSD that actually works)
2. mafless petrol tune and LPG tune
3. respray on the front bar and minor touch up here and there followed by a professional detail.

Looking great... Really love the look of the LWB VEs (WMs)..
I'd have one if they weren't so long..

Am not a fan of the VE, there's just something about them that just doesn't sit right with me, but this thing looks fantastic! Great touch with the black rims on silver, very classy! Congrats on such a sexy ride mate!

Scotty

P.S. What gearing do they have in the rear standard?

What gearing do they have in the rear standard?

Standard Holden A6 have 2.92, HSV A6 3.27, so 3.7 is a bit of a jump. I now have 3.45 in my A6 which livened it up a fair bit.
