In the midst of just having our second child and being in the middle of buying a new more family friendly house and all the hassle that involves I forgot about the lease expiring on my car till I received a reiminder email today.

Luckily I still have two more weeks off work to start sorting this out. As I have a novated lease I can get pricing though them, but in real world terms they are not always competitive. So I'm after what you guys have just paid or what goods deals you know off in NSW.

Im after either a SSV manual (prefer my10, but not fussed as from what I can see no real change) or R8 manual, depending what the runout prices look like. Id prefer to have DVD to keep the young fella happy (Quite) on long trips.

I can stretch to about $52 if I have to, but that figure is excl GST being novared leased. Trade in is VZss auto with 125klms. Mechanically a1, few slight things on body. Feel free to PM prices you have got if you wish

Cheers
Scott

Yeah, did consider it for a while, but as the wife already has a vy wagon didnt see much point in having two

Wow that is a fantastic price - would that be GST exempt or something, also from other posts very recent, it seems Holden reduced the Holden owners grant by $2000 from 1 July, so presumably if that car was ordered by 30 June it may have had a bigger discount. $42K for SSV is great price especiallly considering Holden are advertising SV6 wagon at $41990 driveaway. Must be big fleet discount for that price?

Novated lease prices are gst excempt. GST only becomes payable at the end of the lease. However even excluding GST 42k is a sensational price

Have been searching long and hard the last couple of days. The best price new MY9.5 I have got so far in manual with dvd, parking sensors and tow bar is $49,999. Although am looking at a MY 9 2008 with 19k on it, voodoo with blue dash and leather for 41klm, with a 17k trade in on the vz

Also got a price coming through tomorrow for the new special edition ssv

Must admit strayed to the dark side today and test drove a fg xr6 turbo. Went like a cut snake, but couldnt get used to the driving position, felt like I was sitting on the car, not in it if that makes sense. The other funny thing was when they started it to "warm up" it stalled twice.

Have a few more $ tomorrow so hopefully in the next week or so (assuming I dont wait for a special ssv) will be in a new car

After a few days still searching prices.

The best Ive had so far is 50,900 driveaway for a MY10 and 48,999 for a my9.5. The previous price i got of 47 disappeard. Funny about that. The only other car im considering at the moment is a my9 ssv with blue dash and leather 12,000k fo 40,990.

Anyone got better or which do think is the best deal?
