That sounds like a great little package you got going there.
I have a Rip shifter in my GTS and absolutely love it. My mate has a billet in his VE Clubby and they both feel the same , fun and smooth as hell.
Get some pics up when the mods are done, love to see it.:1peek:

I was just wondering what the pros and cons are of having a 'Shifter'. Do you needs more mods done to the car....Eg. gear box and clutch etc? :)

Cons - none really. (their not free)
Pros - Most of the shifters have a feature that allows you to change from 2nd gear to 3rd without using a sideways motion to select 3rd (as you normally do). You basically push straight up from 2nd gear and and gives you 3rd. Rev the tits off her and slap it into 3rd no worries...:driving:
Shorter shifting motion, from stock. (distance between gears at shifter end).
You don't need any other mods its what they call a "bolt on" just order it and bolt it on.
Some people complain of not being able to select 2nd gear correctly when changing down gears, but I've not had this problem, maybe due to install or driver :stick:
Hope this helps. :)
All I can say is if you can afford one get it, they retail from about $500-600 + install if your not able to do yourself.

You don't have to change anything else, it just gives you a shorter throw between gears & different feel when shifting compared to the holden shifter. I've had a rip shifter in my VY,VZ & now VE and they are good.

Thanks Mate ! You have been very helpful. I'm in the middle of deciding what mods I should do to my car. I think this one sounds like a good choice. :):goodjob:
