My Black Manual VX SS

hey guys,
new to this forum so thought id say hi to all and post up a few pics of my ride..
Its a VX SS Series 2, black, 6spd man with factory red leather interior..
I bought this car in Dec 08 with 78000kms on the clock and nothing but a twin 2.5" catback which was fairly quiet..
So the first thing i set out to do was make some easy power and give it a nice loud note, and i got this with a set of 1 3/8" Pacemaker 4into1's and some hi flow metal pacemaker cats. Coupled with the twin 2.5" (which i found had no secondary mufflers) it sounded pretty dam nice at full tilt:)

Next i purchased a second hand set of HSV Twin spot (F) and single spot rear brakes from a vz gto. which set me back $900 and am very happy with the look and braking power.

After that i hit up Mitch at WA Perf and service centre, and he sorted me out with a full dyno tune and some 3.91's, i purchased and fitted an alloy otr, and she was tuned and turned out a figure of 317rwhp, which i was stoked with..

And i painted my std VX SS 17's black, just for that tuff stealth look, which turned out fine until i can afford to spent upwards of $2k on rims...
The shifter and boot and centre console lid have been painted also to match the interior..But the other day my shifter and boot started to peel like a biatch so im in the process of buying a vy ss shifter and strappin it on instead..
im still undecided as to whats next for the engine, i wouldnt mind a decent cam only pack, but its a daily driver and im tempted to go the single turbo path, where i can still retain some economy and driveability..
but who knows until then.

I am a big fan of the VX!! I would consider taking the video off this site though if that is a public road your on. I think the law would take note of the plate and possibly put it under the microscope.

yeah mate i do plan on it, just havent got around to i yet, and deciding which way is the best to go, coilovers, or king spring super lows only, or springs with short shocks and camber kit, or bags:) i know which ones cheapest and easiest.lol

Nice looking car there mate.Love those plates,wish we could get something like that over here,although the RTA would probably charge us even more ridiculous amounts of money to have them.Its bad enough now they charge over $100 per year for the privelidge of personalising a piece of tin that costs them $2 to get made by a jailbird:soap:

thanks guys, yeah the interior helped me decide whether to buy the car or not:)
and ive heard that over east they charge u a mint to get custom plates then make u pay to keep them..
outrage!
mine cost me $475 one off..
and the plates dont make sense until i peel off down th street.haha
