Hi I've got a couple more weeks left on my new car factory warranty. Just wanting some information as to what things I need to get checked prior to the warranty expiring. What are the common if any issues that arise after 75,000km? My car is a 2006 VZ 6.0L SS.

Car is book in at the Holden dealer for a pre-warranty expiry check but will also get it checked by someone else.

Thanks

Generally there is roadside people like NRMA etc that have the 100 point checklist, similar to buying a second hand car.
At least then it is independent.

Only thing that I wish I had have got checked over on mine was the gear knob. Not long after warranty expired for me my gear knob started rattling. Being a Calais yours would be auto though. Aside from that, I've had nothing go wrong with mine in the three months since my warranty expired. You could always get it serviced early and ask them to check it over for faults I guess.

my warranty runs out in october and i had these thoughts aswell,i think the advice with getting the car checked over by someone other than holden is a good idea though ,nrma are known for this but any reputable mechanic that deals with lsx engines etc. would be a good place to go.
it would be a piss off for something to go bad after warranty but hey

Similar question- my 08 VE doesnt go to holden servicing, is it worth going to Holden for a software upgrade? (if such a thing exists)
