Won’t be a problem for any qualified exhaust shop. ..only question I have is why …good old 2.5 twin is well proven to hold its own till the mid 11 second / 116mph marker on NA VT to VZ Cars......

a twin 3" will sound terrable and be a over kill unless you got like 2 snails under the bonnet imo.
twin 2.5" is fine or a single 3" maybe?

If your still ruuunig the standard cats then thats the problem, fit some hi flow metal cats, take the rear muffler of and get two tail pipes made up and it will sound animal

I've heard a twin 3" xforce on a cammed vx. Loud is an understatement!

No doubt twin 3" sounds good but cammed and on the street is recipe to police catching up with you quicker than with the quieter 2.5".
You sometimes have to really think of what you would do if you got pinged for noise levels. Most of us are already well over the limits and i know it sounds lame but if you can get a nicer note from a quieter system would sound tuffer than louder.Make sense???
Ive heard some really loud systems that sound crap. Some of the tuffest ive heard are alot more quieter.
Just my 2c by the way.
Its all about what you want but if its advice you after thats mine.
Cheers,
Andy.

. Makes plenty of sense to me, I've 2 utes sitting downstairs , both running twin 3" systems ( One DF. the other X- Force ) but then both utes run 10's.........and not a match on sound quality imho when compared to a well sorted 2.5 twin system......
Just my take.

Loud is good mate ha ha. I find it hard to believe your spouting the benefits of a quieter exhaust I have heard yours and quiet is not the first word that springs to mind! Its all a matter of personal opinion, I used to have a VY ute with twin 2 1/2" redback catback exhaust with no rear reso, only other mod was intake and I had a few ppl comment that it sounded really good.
My current exhaust on the VE is probably best described as anti social, stepped headers into twin 3 with cats and rear reso's only. Personally I love it but a few members here are not fans preferring the KPM. The KPM is quieter and more refined sounding whereas mine is a lot louder and barkier and really starts to sound like a racecar at higher revs.
I have had a couple of experiences with plod, been waved into a couple of RBT's with no problems or comments about the exhaust. Had a hwy patrol guy follow me for a couple of kms on Nepean hwy before he pulled me over. He was more concerned with clearance and checked it with his 100mm wheel, all good. He said nuthin about the sound level other than a comment about it sounding tough but he expected that as it looked like I had downpipes for an exhaust. That was about 6 months ago and nothing since then touch wood although I am fully aware that at some point I will probably get pinged for noise. Thats the chance you take.

Kaido, unless you want to draw unnecessary attention to yourself and maybe even regret it don't go 3". They are really loud and you'll get the sh*ts with them. I've just gone the 2.5" x force catback and it sounds awesome and would not want it any louder. It is about overall tone as well and each system sounds different. I haven't heard the redbacks but can vouch for these. But if you're happy with the redback catback, save your money and keep it. Much easier than having to change it all again when you get sick of the noise. Oh and I think as far as attracting the HWP I think that's entirely up to the driving style one displays ...... :1peek: ..... As for wheter they'll fit your cats, the exhaust shop would be your 1st place to ask :)

i find you are only going to get pinged for noise if your reving the cripes out of it.. or if your doing skids.
im sure if you blew over the limit the rbt crew would inspect the car, just to fudge you over just that little bit more.
yes. loud is best =) isnt that the point of a V8??

Maybe when i had my fully sic cammed clubby that might have been the case.
That car has loooooong gone. I'm very happy with the system i have on my unopened SV8.
Infact it IS the system i had on the clubby :)
Cruze around and she almost sounds stock.
Mash the volume pedal and you get the sound that everyone is after :yup:
Jealous over 1/2 an inch each side BWHAHAHHA!
As my mrs said, its already big enough.....:smilesandbanana:
