Unfortunately they are all new ones.
I've been tasked with splitting some of the larger highly viewed threads to try and increase forum speed for all users.
The ones I moved to the Mods section, then split, then moved back include the Motivational thread, Camera photos thread, and link the photos thread. You had quite a few posts in there so you would receive a fair few of the automated PM's

22??
I can only store a max of 20?

Or are those extra 2 just in a 'queue' and come through once he clears some messages?

Validated users get larger mailboxes

I first noticed from all the Emailed notifications to my inbox. First thought was that I got banned or something, and that all my posts had been canned!

Guess you mod's haven't cottonned onto that yet....

The host is plenty quick, maybe its best if the back seat drivers that dont know all the facts, dont make suggestions that are not relevant.

Well from a user's point of view this is one of the slowest popular car forums around at the moment. Which sux, so any suggestions should be taken seriously. But I'd say it's more likely to be a database threading/indexing issue os something similar.

Offering feedback as to what your experiencing is one thing. Trying to tell the Admin who has been running for this forum for many years and is also an experienced IT Engineer, is not the smartest move. If he wanted help from someone in the know he would consult them and advise them of the FACTS before asking advice.

If you want to help, post feedback on your EXPERIENCE using the forum. ie: Its slow around 7pm at night, but only on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. This way we can try and drill down into the issue further.

Some very valuable information in this thread. I'm sure forum administrators the world over will link to this thread as the bible of forum issues.

Shame it all had to end so soon.....
