Hey
I have a VT Supercharged v6 that we believe the bottom end bearings are gone!! She turns over but the crank is sometimes hitting something. Now she had a hard life, 260,000km on the clock so I have been told its time for a re-build. Does anyone know somewhere I can take her in
Brisbane to have this re-build done. OR does anyone know where I can get interal parts other then from Holden?
Any other ideas are more then welcome :)

Unless you've broken a rod, piston or something, I can't really see how the crank itself would be hitting the block... People stroke these motors, so there must be a bit of clearance in there.
Perhaps make sure the harmonic balancer hasn't failed, as I've heard them make a hell of a racket when they fail.

Sorry I should have explained myself better.
I believe the crank isn't hitting the block, but i think either the bottom end bearing has come out and the crank is hitting it or a piece of a piston skirt has broken off. The motor seems to have lost compression but i haven't checked to see which cylinder/s it is.
Any information on where to get performance parts in Brisbane would be of great assistance.
Thank you

260000kms for an L67 is no big deal. There are plenty running extensive mods at those kms and still making good consistant power.
Any mechanic can do a comp test or you buy the tester for around $70 with the spark plug adaptor.
Maybe check out www.l67torque.com , there is alot of L67 specific info over there

If you are keen to get a rebuild done I can reccomend PLR, they are at Brendale (accross the road from PowerTorque). John is the man to speak to down there, I have been using them for years.
Before though Id reccomend going to get a look at the motor by a mechanic or engine specialist before you go and rebuild the motor.
If it does need a rebuild while its apart throw a cam in it and get PLR to tidy the heads up.
