View Full Version : Can you fit a pallet in the back of a VZ SS ute?

Just wondering if a standard chep pallet will fit inbetween the two wheel arches on a VZ SS ute.?

I've got a VY and it doesn't fit , I think VZ are the same .

not a hope in hell of fitting it unless you pack it above wheel arches

Yes they do fit ,a standard in design ...VY and VZ the same between the arches is 1224mm i think . One of the great designs of the Holden Utes is fitting std building products of 1200mm between the arches .... XR "stylesides" Fords wont . I think this was finally addressed in the fg though.

only problem is the standard 2400 long don't fit without dropping the tailgate, then you have the issue of not displaying the rear number plate.

Put an empty pallet in and see if it fits. i think chep pallets are about 1170x1170 so should fit.

will fit easy, cheps/loscams are 1170x1170.
can cram two long ways on those toyota hilux/ford tray with sides

1165 x 1165 to be exact :)

I know this as I sometimes have to measure pallets to make sure they are not std size.

I've had a pallet in the back of my Crewman and the tray in them is shorter than the ute, so unless the ute tray is narrower than the Crewman, it'd fit with no dramas.

(Of course there are many different size pallets floating around, so I'm sure you could find one that wouldn't fit)

Yep - and sheets of Gyprock etc fit exactly too :)
Damn Im gona miss the ute.
