My VE SS is just coming up to 75k after about two and a half years of ownership. I plan to keep it for quite a bit longer yet, and so was wondering what sorts of things I might expect to give me trouble as time goes on?

For a bit of background, the car spends most of its time running around Canberra suburbs but what really adds the km is the trips we do to Sydney every four weeks or so (which is generally 600km of freeway plus some running around Sydney).

I'm thinking that this will mean I won't have issues with brakes or suspension for a long time, and there won't be any relevant issues in terms of appearance, but what sort of mechanical components? Long freeway stints should be fairly easy on engines but what about the gearbox, diff, etc?

Any suggestions of what I should be thinking about upgrading...er, I mean replacing down the track are much appreciated :)

Mate that is only 30,000km a year, that is not over the top!
I reckon if the old LS1's are used as a yard stick, (because these things are of course an improved version,) you are most likely good for at least another 4 years without much worry!
Just enjoy your ride!:)

mate just wait till stuff happens... it may not. Don't stress - just drive!
75K is low klms.
My VY SS I just sold went 103,000klms on the stock brake pads (M6) and still had at least another 20K on them.
