if you had the chance to upgrade to a newer clubby (currently a VXii m6)

what would be your choice out of the 2 and Y ????

Z series or a Y series clubby

def has to be a manual (auto aint a option :) )

Flicking a coin weather to get rid of mine and upgrade cars or spend the money on mine....gotta love big tax returns ;) , about time I get a heap back for my hard earnd....

hard choice,im not sure, if I spend the coin on mine (cam, clutch, exhaust, otr, tune, maybe heads etc..), its dead money really, car aint gonna be worth much more, but then again power gain is for the driver and is why we do it :D .

BUT, Im really liking the idea of an upgrade :D as love the newer clubby's

is there much of a difference between the two??

obviously 5.7 vs 6.0 , but what about cosmetic side of things, brakes, interior, exterior.. stuff like that

what are your thoughts??

:goodjob:

P.S: wont be jumping into anything in a hurry, just doing some research first.. then shop.

imo Based on looks the VZ R8 was very nice and wins over the VY.

But more power stock with the LS2 over the LS1 VY would also tempt me the way of the VZ. Didnt the VZ get better brakes as well but the things like seat design changed?

VZ of course as its really a no brainer there. Where you may get a bit tricky is VY Clubby R8 vs VZ Clubby. Engine mods are relatively cheap to get an LS1 performing as good as an LS2. Braking hardware, suspension, and interior extras aren't so cheap. So for that comparison I personally would go VY R8.. But only just.

My votes for the VZ, 6.0L LS2 engine v LS1 5.7L, performance brakes standard (VY and VZ R8 both have premium brakes) Vy Clubby only has std VY brakes unless optioned.

Go the VZ. It's a newer car, and generally in the car market, newer models are better than the previous ones. Plus the VZ Clubbies look tough!

Easy answer - VZ preferably an R8. I'm not keen on the VY Clubby front bumber, plus of course a VZ comes with 6 litres. Agree M6 all the way. VY (series 1) R8 does have the Coulsen seats of the VT/ VX R8, whereas as VY II, and VZ R8's, the seats are toned down.

Frankly dude, and I say this owning a Vy R8, neither look as good as the VX HSV's.

Just opinion though.

BUT if you are going to change cars, you may as well consider going one with the LS2, bit pointless going from VX to VY and staying with the LS1 if you want change, just do some research and see which one suits your desires better, be it left near stock, mild mods or extensive modification (think forced induction).

i do like the more aggressive styling of the VY HSV over the toned down VZ.
but yeah, thats 6L is a big draw card. id still go for the VY myself. only on looks.

Im gonna hold off for 6 months and buy a "E" series clubby instead :D

It all depends, if you can get a vz r8 for the money then go with that..... My way of thinking you want the r8 model so if the budget does not stretch in the z series go with a vy r8, The r8's are much nicer no matter how you look at it......
