Hi guys
I am going to finally put some 20's on my wagong and am after alittle advice on tyres.
I have read some good reports on the Kumho KU31' in terms of noise and performance but have also heard they are not that quiet after they wear a little.
I have also read that the RU19's are a really good choise but wear a little faster.
What are your thoughts?

31's are great performance for the price, they seem to get noisier as they wear down, no real issues with them
19's are more expensive and stickier but yes do wear even faster.
Depends on your budget, in 20's ku19's will be expensive and not last all that long. get excellent grip however
the stickier you get rubber the faster they wear out, can't really get tyres that are super sticky and last. really depends on how much grip you want and how much you want to spend and how often, 31 are performance budget, 19's are more performance for more money more often
although the range is greatly extended now I've only used 31's so far some of the newer tyres look interesting

how about 33's with a lavender smell :)
PS those RRP's are high EG tempe have the 31's for half that price listed
size range in 31's is huge

Hi, I've just put 2 x 20" Kuhmo KU31's on the rear of my VE Maloo....So far after about 2,000klm's I'm just as confident in them in the dry & wet as the original Bridgestones & they are about the third of the price. I can tell you they are a little noisier than the Bridgestones. But overall very happy with the KU31's....cheers..:)..

Hey,
I've got KU19s on my car at the moment and I love this model. Great grip and wear isn't that bad, especially with the way I drive. There is road noise but not as bad as my previous set of tyres. I had Maxxis on before and they could not keep up in the wet and that was frustrating, can't remember the exact model though.
I've got 18s and I was very lucky to get this tyre at $250 each just 6 months ago and when I checked it out last week to replace my spare I was quoted $340, just glad I got 4 of them for the cheaper price.
I've put on about 20,000ks on them atm and I'll probably get another 15-20,000ks, depending if I can take it easy.
Cheers

Hey chipp55,
I have recently had 4 x KU19's fitted and I think they are a great tyre. Very little road noise and great grip. I was lucky enough to get them on special for $295 tyre (245/35 R19) from Wheel King. I rang numerous other places who couldn't believe a place quoted me $295 a tyre, most places were charging anywhere from $330-$350 per tyre.
Cheers,

anything will shit all over wanli's, they aren't called the worlds worst tyre in the industry for nothing, my double bung thongs are better than that crap.
b.t.y i have KU31'S find them a bit noisey but they seem to do the job well

tyre sniffer eh, so you have the gay tyres? :) lavender fragrance
according to the site they only go up to 17's in size?
dogs still pee on them after sniffing them?
sorry about the stirring couldn't help it, i looked at them earlier on the site but saw 17's were the max size, the graph dot rating thing shows them good in all areas, better than the 31's. they should do larger sizes if thats the case, i guess the garage would smell better too...

I've used both but on different cars. The 31's are on the car at the moment and have great grip in the wet, I might try the 19's next time but they were also a very grippy tyre. Depends how far you push it I guess, I'd prefer the longer life of the 31's on a daily driver. I think I'll get an easy 20,000-25,000kms out of the 31's on there. Done around half that and don't look like they've worn much at all.

I have just had Kuhmo KU31's fitted and all i can say
is that they are an amazing tyre for the price the onesi had on them before
were some shitter's that were on there when i
bought it Gemstone or something and now having these fitted
cornering has never been more fun and still can spin the
wheels a bit not as much as before. They seem to ride smooth as well
and noise is minimal.:)

However, they do get quite noisy as they wear........ :( Mine have done 15,000km now and are quite noisy at times.
