ive seen these recently on ebay not sure if they are genuine or not youd have to check im pretty sure they were vy as well as i was looking for some ss seats for the tonner

Already checked mate, they aren't genuine..

All I'm after is a genuine front blue vy ss seat trim do you guys reckon Holden would sell them?

My SS's driver side seat is starting to age...

My car is a silver Series 1 VY SS so the seats are factory blue..

Can 1 seat trim be purchased from Holden spare parts and then fitted by auto trimmers?

By blue do you mean the blue leather? If so im in the same boat except my seats are yellow.

If you find out anything please let me know.

Holden do keep quite a few seat trims, you can buy the tops or the bases, they could even have some the correct colour trim in local stock.
I would go to a Holden dealer and ask them?
You will need to give them the VIN from your car so they can check for the correct trim.
A trimmer can easy fit them for you.
Or a good trimmer could perhaps even fix yours. :goodjob:

$1300, that's crazy talk!

Guess you'd better keep your eye out at the wreckers, maybe someone will have a smashed car with similar interior, though they might want to split it.

I have a similar problem with my Berlina, small hole in driver's side seat trim (otherwise interior is FNP). Have a mate who's a trimmer so would look after me on the fitment, but just need to get the right covering....

You need to be very careful. When my series 1 VY SS was about 2 years old I had the driver's seat leather replaced under warranty. Problem was the so called red was so far off the rest of the interior it wasn't funny, not to mention the different grain of the leather. ended up getting all seats and door trim leather replaced by the dealer under warranty.

I could probably go to a leather trimmer and for that price have every seat re trimmed in the same blue even with the SS logos and all. Probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference and they would probably use longer lasting leather than GM too!

Thanks guys,

Just rang Holden spare parts and got quoted $1300 for 1 blue leather SS seat trim ! JUST FOR ONE SEAT!

Apparently they only have 1 full seat trim, with a few back rest pieces too in the blue leather.

Anyway $1300 for one seat I would never ever pay.

That sounds about right got quoted $3000 from local dealer to get the front 2 changed on the VZSS(not including fitting).Went to a very good custom shop and got quoted $2000 for front, back and whatever logos I wanted. Guess where the car is going !!!!

If you go through a dealer they'd probably cost a shitload!
