Corvette ZR1 bragging rights for your project car!
With the 6.2L SC thundering under the hood, the 2009 Corvette ZR1 is not only the most powerful car ever from GM, but the quickest and fastest, too! In fact, it takes only a mere 3.4 sec. for ZR1 to reach 60 mph.
And now, you can order GMPP's fully-dressed LS9 crate engine package for your own project car. And while it shares the 6.2L displacement of other LS engines, this one is unique, with stronger block casting, stronger cylinder head castings and steel cylinder liners that are honed with a deck plate installed to maximize performance and cylinder sealing.
The LS9 SC is a great choice when you want to build your own ZR1 or that potent '69 Camaro you've only dreamt of before.

LS pedigree. Cadillac refinement. A perfect marriage.
Based on the potent LS9, the LSA has a slightly smaller supercharger and a few other unique components designed to deliver Cadillac's signature quietness and refinement. But make no mistake; this is one powerful performer. Some of its high-performance credentials include: a unique aluminum-cylinder block casting that houses a forged steel crankshaft, integrated piston cooling oil jets, high-flow cylinder heads and relatively mild camshaft.
And unlike the LS9, the LSA comes with a conventional wet-sump lubrication system.
With its 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of torque, along with excellent idle quality and "right-now" throttle response, imagine how this engine could transform your Z28 Camaro or C6 Vette!

I'd love one of these in the GTO.....wonder how the old A4 would handle it though!
Cheers, Pickles.

I suspect you could get a second hand VE for the price of an LS9 landed on Oz shores.

But which would be more fun? Would you rather two stock VE SS' or one with an LS9? :goodjob:

Get the LS9 Bob - it would be unique! Otherwise we can arrange a very neatly built LS3 and a HTV2300.

The LS9 would be a simply awesome engine...reading the latest Wheels magazine, which features a ZR1 Corvette in a comparison test, the power is quoted at 476KW @ 6500, & 819NM @3800. The article describes the power of the LS9 as "Bonkers"!.
It would certainly transform any HSV wouldn't it, & I believe it runs a wet sump which would overcome installation problems.
Surely HSV would have to be looking at this engine. They've got the heavy duty driveline already sorted for the W427, so surely the same driveline could be used without too much trouble with this engine.
I wonder who'll be the first on this forum to fit one!
Cheers, Pickles.

Cam and heads on an LS3 alomost makes as much power as that, although the torque would be better being FI. Money could be better spent than putting in a stock LS9 for 30K

don't know if I'd put one under the bonnet of a HSV though - maybe the passenger seat
