I am looking for someone that can supply and fit electric steps to my stretch Hummer upon opening of the rear doors.

If anyone knows of a company that does this work in Perth please leave details.

Thanks

JK

Hey John, the only possibility I can think of would be Oleary's, 6 Montgomery Way Malaga WA 6090, Australia (08) 9248 6674‎. They do electric tail lifts, so may also be able to do the electric steps.

Alternatively see the following link to a company in Melbourne. They may have someone who can install in Perth, or at least send you the parts that someone can fit for you here.

The third alternative would be to try TL Engineering in Bayswater 9279 5466

Hey John,

Ive used TL in the past and they do some good work.

Another one could possibly be Omnibus services in welshpool. I know they fit bus's out but may have access to that type of equipment...

Just a thought

I'd be 99% certain that an electric step set-up would utilise linear actuators same as on my hardlid and tailgate. They're a max of $200 ea and would only need someone with relatively basic engineering skills to work out how to make them work effectively.

Got the steps being fitted on Saturday by TL Engineering... should make a big difference as the factory step is useless for the high heel traffic they see :teach:

yeah they do top quality work there, they have QC inspectors that go over every fine detail before it goes out the door. My old man builds the ute trays. He's a perfectioist like me and he's in his 60's.
