Street machines slickest FORDodore???

just got the new street machine slickest commodores magazine, and got a shock when i have seen a monaro that has been beaten to death with the ugly stick and then a final massive insult, has had FORD headlights jammed in the front!!!

to each their own and if someone wants to do this then thats fine but why would they put it on the fornt cover of a commodore magazine?
and then they put it on the poster inside too!

let me know what you think, i hope their is many that agree with me that this is a terrible thing to do and if you disagree with me thats fine too, im more than willing to hear you out but then i will hate you forever and get off the ls1 forum now you ford loving bogan!!!!!

Pity, Street Machine Commodores was a good magazine!
This is very sad lol it doesnt even look good? Well in my opinion which doesnt account for alot!
I was actually going to buy this magazine then I had a quick look at that and it turned me off enough to change my mind.

I seen the car at summernats this year and it took a couple of goes to work out what it started off as. Everyone has there own tastes I understand that but this thing pig ugly

Lets be honest the magazine has been on a downward spiral for some time, featuring at best, clean street cars which are exactly the same as most of us own. Its a pitty really that it has gotten to this point, I just thank god Street Machine is still such a high quality mag

I'm guessing that the owner initially wanted the Ford bonnet for its "power bulge" - then figured he might as well use the Ford headlights to save $$$ on bonnet re shaping (so the Holden headlights would fit). Then it all sort of went down hill from there........

I like and have respect for many types of cars including Fords, Nissan's etc, but you can't just take the bits you like and wack them on what you have. Either start from scratch and build something off a chasis that makes it work properly where you can't go, the fronts falcon, the middle Holden, sides Crossfire etc.

Or just work with what you have and don't look in the parts bin of every car manufacturer that you have fancied. :soap:

So the idiot went to all the trouble to make the castings when he had the chance to make lets say a VE monaro style. Or even something completely new that no one has yet seen. Even the bonnet bulge could have been turned into something new. I think someone with photoshop skills should photoshop a new bar on a monaro and send him the picture to show him other possibilities. Maybe we should have a conest here to see if someone can come up with something completely different for holdens.
