Hi All,
I have a 2month old SV6 ute that is losing a fair bit of water from the windscreen washer tank. I have not used the windscreen washer jets but every week when I wash the car I am having to top it up by ~500ml.
Is this normal? - If there is a leak are there known locations for weakness?
Thanks,
Mitch.

Known issue with the washer bottles, they leak, get it fixed under warranty.
Do a search on here and there will be plenty of info on it.

How can this still be happening on a 2 month old car?
This issue has been around for well over 2 years.

The filler tube is a weak plastic flexi hose that tears easily.

I fixed the one in the work car (VE Omega) by sleeving it (see: shoved a piece of rubber garden hose down through the centre of it to get past the torn section). A bit of 100mph tape around the leaking section if you can find it would be a good temp fix too. My work makes us get the cars serviced internally so getting small warranty work fixed is blood out of a stone stuff.
