1992 Holden VP SS Commodore in Maranello Red.
Race winning, Low maintenance, super consistent 9sec car for sale ‘Turn Key’ or as a ‘Roller’.
Suit Super Sedan, Super Gas /MS (Modified Sedan) or many Pro Street classes.
The car was second in the ANDRA Super Sedan Championship in ‘05~06 and ‘06~07 and has had many race wins. Highlights include winning the 2006 Summer Nationals at WSID, 2007 Western Nationals in Perth and Runner-up at 2006 Winter Nationals. The car also recently won ‘Top Judged-Engineering’ at 2008 Melbourne AutoSalon.

Car comes complete ready to run 9.9sec or faster passes. (1.33-60'.) Freshly serviced with a number of new parts on the car.

COME Racing EFI 383ci engine, MSD 7AL-2 ignition, Transbraked Powerglide, alloy tail shaft, alloy Mark Williams diff centre, new wheels and tyres, new chute.
Car weighs 2700Lb race ready with driver, so if you're lighter than me the car will go faster.

The Car.
Mild Steel 3/4 chassis installed 2002
4-link rear suspension with Koni adjustable Coil Over’s. 4-link has 1/2" bolts for fine adjustment of 4-link.
New Aurora 4-link rod ends in 2007.
Wishbone track locator and anti roll bar.
Tube chassis rear clip (no box tubing) and 1mm thick steel floor. (Super Stock legal)
Quick release Momo steering wheel on fabricated Chrome Moly column with Aircraft universal joints.
Chassis is in excellent condition and drives true and straight. Car hooks hard and lifts the front wheels.
New 15x3.5 American Racing front rims with new 25x4.5-15 Goodyear tyres (still have pips on them)
New 15x14 American Racing rear rims with 15 pass old 31x14-15 Goodyear slicks (spare tyres available)
Wilwood front brakes on polished custom billet 7075 alloy hubs
Wilwood rear brakes with alloy hats and new rotors. (All brake rotors and pads Cryogenically Treated)
Wilwood master cylinder (no booster)
Adjustable height and stroke coil over strut front suspension (spare front springs to shorten stroke of struts.)
Fibreglass bonnet with glassed in NACA scoop (Original steel bonnet available)
Spare Alfa fibreglass bonnet with extension to windscreen to remove the dead area behind the plenum chamber.
Fibreglass front and rear doors with new lexan windows. (Steel doors with lexan windows available)
Fibreglass boot lid with Deist 10' chute mounted. Chute pulled twice. (Steel boot lid and VP SS wing available)
Rear window is 3mm lexan, front windscreen is factory glass and new in 2006.
New Biondo Mega 200 delay box fitted in May '08.
Optima dry cell battery. New alternator included but not currently being used. (Worth 0.03 of a second ET without it.)
Velo racing seat, SFI roll bar padding, Driveshaft protection tube (chrome-moly)
RPM 5-point Harness and RPM Arm restraints. (No window net)
VDO Gauges with Xtreme replay tacho and LED shift light. (Oil press, Trans temp and water temp)
All stickers on the car will be removed on sale.
Current ANDRA Tech and Log Book. Expires September 2010.

The Driveline
383ci engine by COME racing. Low maintenance, high reliability engine. 80 passes on driveline since freshen.
Holden 4 bolt block with COME Alloy heads and COME intake. Solid roller cam with Wiseco pistons and H-beam rods. Cryo valve springs, ARP head studs, copper head gaskets with O-rings and all the COME options in this engine. Engine made 550HP and 485ftLb.
Gonzo 4>2>1 Tri-Y headers built specifically for this engine. HPC coated.
Fabricated alloy rocker covers. High Energy ‘Pro Ultimate’ sump with full length kick out and mesh windage tray.
Moroso 3 vane Vacuum pump with regulator and catch can.
Delco EFI with MSD 7AL-2 ignition. MSD HVC II coil.
Runs on Sunoco GT Plus unleaded fuel. (Un-opened 200Lt drum of fuel available with the car)
TCE 8" converter (new with this engine)
Powerglide with PTC Transbrake in excellent condition. 360° aftermarket bellhousing. (Freshened for this engine)
Ø 3.5" Aluminium Tailshaft with 1350 MW yokes and solid uni’s.
Mark Williams alloy diff centre with ball bearing pinion support. Motive gears, 33 spline full spool and 33 spline Moser axles. Diff shortened in April this year to suit new rear rims and tyres.
Bosch high pressure fuel pump with 3/8" ID fuel lines. Bosch and BG fuel filters. 19lt fuel cell mounted in boot.

Spare Steel Tailshaft. (Used prior to fitting aluminium shaft and is 6kg heavier)
20lt drum Castrol Transmax Z synthetic transmission fluid.

Car has run 9.91 @ 134mph with 1.33-60’. Driver weighs 230Lb. (105Kg race ready) If you’re lighter it will go faster.

The engine bay will also fit VL Turbo 6cyl, LS1 and Small Block Chev V8 with minimal modifications. Put a strong Holden V8 in with turbo, N2O or Supercharger as 750Hp in this car equals easy 8 sec passes!

* Also for sale independent of the car are the following items. Negotiate a deal and take them with the car!

- 1 set of custom stepped Gonzo 4>2>1 Tri-Y headers to suit 400+ cubic inch Holden motor (or supercharged Holden) in the VP. They are multi stepped with round Ø1.75” primary pipes and Ø3.5 merged collectors. Brand new and never fitted they will go with the car for extra $$$$ or will be sold separately once the car has gone. $1000 with the car or $2000 once the car has gone. Try getting a set this good made for that price.

Last time out at WSID and these are the numbers it ran. Within 0.01 of what the weather station was predicting and 60' nice and consistant between 1.340 and 1.349!

Q1 9.944 @ 1145DA (density altitude)
Q2 9.979 @ 1736DA
Q3 9.977 @ 1667DA
Q4 9.957 @ 2365DA (Strong tailwind made up for worse air)

Round 1 went 10.01 backing off accross the line on 9.95 dial in 1988DA. Meeting was washed out after that (Australian Nationals '08)

Makes it easy to predict a dial in when it is that consistant!

FYI best light with the delay box at this meeting was 0.009 and the worst light was a 0.024 which was in qualifying.

If you want a nice and consistant car that has the potential to win meetings then this is the car for you! Once the delay box is setup to suit your driving style you will have everything (except helmet and driving suit) that you need to win races!

The car is freshly serviced up on stands and ready for your inspection and to go straight to the track.

The turn key deal comes with PerformAire weather station and all data, so all you have to do is get in the car, fine tune the dealy box to suit you and go and win some races!

Please note: GMVPSS will be racing at WSID at the Nationals on 11~13th of September. I am more than happy to do a deal and leave the car in Sydney.
