Just a quick question guys. I will be looking at a SSV tomorrow, is it possible for the salesman to find out any claims or recalls on the car or is it something that should be dealt with through the Service dept????
Cheers
Ad.

Hi Ad, I take it your looking at a used car and want to know if its had any previous problems? The best way to go about this is to look at the service logs and see where the car was serviced as this would be the place where any issues would have been addressed.....give that service dept the rego and they should be able to tell you the complete history. Im not sure if this model has had any major recalls...im sure the fellas here can answer that question.

all the best and good luck

It should be on the Holden database whether the car has had a recall or not.

There have only been 2 that i'm aware of, the seatbelt spring and leaking fuel line.

Dont generally get receipts for recall or warranty work so log books wont be much help.

Any outstanding campaigns can be brought up on the computer by the service advisors at your local Holden Dealer.
