Just doing a little research for some semi slicks for the VE and haven't come up with any which fits the same rim / profile. Tyres are:

2**/45 18
2**/40 19

Has anyone else had any success? What are you using in the VE at the track?

18x245 R888's.....11.7 new cam only Maloo...but changing to 18' MT DR's at next outing.

Few are using 245/40R18's not much in the 45 profile around, got a set of Bridgestone re 55's with 60% tresd for $700 of ebay

I use R888's on my race car, have tried the RE55's too. Personal preference is the R888's for all round performance, up to temp reasonably quick and last. RE's i found to go off far too quickly for what they're costing.

Nitto's also have good sizes grip well and some have had good times with them..

I've used A048's but i'm running slicks now. 240/40 R18 and 270/40 R18

We have plenty of Pirelli Rosso Corsa Semi Slicks around 50% - 60% in 235/19 and 285/19 that we used on our VE and Lamborghini of all things :)
Pick them up locally for $150 each. Good enough for a 1:17.95 around Mallala on our VE. Let me know if you need them, they are a great track tyre :cool:
