Hi all, I have a VZ Acclaim Wagon 2004 model 175Alloytec eng and the Check Powertrain message has appeared. No codes came up when scanned at my mechanics. Fuel consumption has gone up. Cars starts and runs as per normal except the fuel consumption. Reading other posts I decided to chage an o2 sensor. I reset the message by disconnecting the battery and it cleared for about 5 kms then came back on again. Does the alloytec175 engine have this vacuum hose that everyone keeps talking about?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

ease up mate, uve got one of the least popular engines on this website, thus low amount of info and help and with that attitude ur nt gonna gain any positive responses

now ur problem
if it was an o2 sensor then a code of P2251 or p2254 would of been found by the mechanics

if its a vacuum leak then idle shouldnt be "normal"
and how much increase in fuel consumption are u talking about? .5l, 5l, 20l per 100

Sorry about my previous reply, I was just trying to get a response. Fuel consumption is up around 2L per 100km. I will take it to the dealer when I get a chance. Everything is running normally except the warning message. I just would like to get as much info as possible as not to get shafted by the dealers. That seems to be the only thing they are good at these days, telling people their Johnson rods are broken and the headlight fluid is low and requires topping up. Thanks and sorry.
