Hi guys i run a VT HSV in the vic state round and we are restricted to 18" wheels.
I currently have 18 X 9" oz racing wheels but am looking for 8 more rims to suit the brakes i currently run.
I've been told the rims i'm currently running, that i have to buy 5 sets at $1500 a wheel. from England
Do the math $30,000
I'm running VZ GTS brakes and have tryed a couple of diffrent brands such as ROH.
I don't want to use a 3 piece wheel such as simmons
Front brakes are 362mm and rears are 343mm
IF anyone can help that would be great
Cheers

Just to clarify, are you looking for 18" rims to clear the bigbrakes 362/343mm for a VX,VY,VZ model ?

Vic restricted to 18' wheels, erh excuse me how does this rule apply.
You can go up in size as long as the overall rolling diameter does not exceed 15mm (1.5cm)
I think you can also only go 1' wider. But you cannot change the actual track width of the car. This has come from an engineer.
So I'm at a loss at why you cannot go bigger?

In our class we are restricted to a 18 wheel but i want to run a 265 tyre on a 18 X 9" rim not a 235 tyre on a 18 X 8" rim
For more traction

BMW M5 copies in 18 x 9 fit the 362 mm AP racing brakes. (I circut race this exact combo) Offset of +20 is not idea and may be a issue with track width but a bit of a rear guard pump takes care of it as they do stick out a bit. Cost about $220 per wheel from Tempe tyres. i have been using them for over 18 months and no problems. Able to get 5 to 6 degrees front camber if you ever wanted with that offset too. You need to run hub rings for a nice tight fit over the hubs as the hubs are 74mm and not the 68.9 on the commodores.

Trust me it took me nearly 4 months to find ones that fit and 18 x 9 side.

I believe 18" Monaro wheels will allow the fitment of the HSV/AP 6 spot brakes (only just!).

Also lots of other aftermarket BMW wheels fit too. The BMW TT copies I use on the Avalance do fit the 363mm brakes with room to spare. They are 18 x 8 so not much good but I think several BMW wheels do 18 x 8.5.
