hey guys i'm looking in to getting a gas conversion for my wh statesman international but have a few questions...

firstly is the government rebate still going for the conversion? (i live in WA)

secondly, i've heard from some people that you lose power in your engine when you convert to gas, ie from 255 kw to 220kw..
is this true? also if it is what is the actual decrease in kw?

thirdly i've heard rumors of gas not being good for 5.7L gen III's..
is this true?

thnx,
bryan

All your questions have been answered before. May I suggest you conduct a search on the existing LPG threads.

The available rebate is $1750 from the Federal Government. The WA LPG Subsidy Scheme concluded in July.

Power loss and consumption depends on what type of system you opt to install. If you have a V8, your best (and only in my opinion) option is to opt for an injected system of some kind. I would go for either a Liquid Injection system, or a Gas Injection system that uses high-flow Keihin injectors (e.g. EuroGas or Parnell / Prins). Other systems will revert to petrol at high rpm due to inadequate injector flow rate. With these injected systems, you will not lose any power and with a liquid injection system, you will actually GAIN power.

An LPG kit installed only weighs as much as your average-sized person...
