Hi guys

I am wondering if any of you have noticed any difference between the original Pentagons and tghe copies at all?

A mate if looking at a set for his VE and and read a few threads on here and looked at every pic he could find, in cluding one of SenatorMike's silver SSV wagon.

I never really took notice of this pic before but at a certain angle the Pentagons look a little strange

This side angle

They are definitely different. I dont think its just the lighting. Look around the wheel nut area. And the "spokes" have a machined flat appearance in the first one but the second one they arent.

Nah sorry guys

The wheels on Mikes wagon are copies and in both pics they are the same wheels, I am wondering if originals look different at different angles

Here is a pic of some originals

I saw some Chinese black replica Pentagons with the face of the 'spokes' machined at Bob Janes They looked OK but one wheel had what looked like a gouge in it about 1" long and 1/16" deep. It looked pourous and was a shocker. That sort of put me off but maybe the replicas would be fine (just make sure you have a good close look before buying them.

I assume there is some type of ADR these wheels must meet or have we become the dumping ground for sub standard wheels.

I think the tourers look awsome but the machined edge black pentagons look a little too busy i think IMO.

yeh but also saying that, how many pre VEs have you seen with SSVs/GTS/Supersports etc etc.

i reakon they look good.

i personally really love the pentagons.. like them more over the ve gts.

the G8s are also a really nice looking wheel.

can also agree, the toures and the black/machined front pentagons do look a lil busy.
