View Full Version : GM Dex Cool Coolant - are you using it?

Have been reading up on the red coolant Holden use in their ve's etc and its also used by GM over in the states. Have read there have been many problems with this coolant pink sludging and causing corrosion to gaskets in the motor etc..

Anyone using something different in their VE's other than the red glycol DEX Cool? eg green coolant?

Anyone recommend something better.. maybe something from redline?

do a search was a whole bunch of stuff on that some years ago on this site.

i use the nulon red coolant anyway same sorta thing but developed here had no problems with either type anyway

Been in my VX SS for the past 8 years, changed at the recommended intervals, mine is nice and clean still.
