Maybe look at a set of ve ssv 19's there a nice clean simple wheel and you can paint them whatever colour...... Nice and easy to clean and look bigger than they are with the fat spokes.......

VZ SSZ's are Monaro CV8 rims. They only come in 18s. If you like the look of these rims then the VE SSV's are very similar but are 19's.

To recommend you a rim, we need to know a bit more of what style you like eg. 5 spoke, multi spoke, dish, colour/s etc. End of the day you're going to put what you like on your car, not what someone else likes. There's SO many options out there, it's a bloody tough decision! I just went through the same dilemma, I decided to powdercoat my SSV's black on my black VZ SSZ.

have alook through the my ride or sedan etc picture threads up the top.

then you can get a fair idea of what they look like.

nnnn please dont put 19s on without putting atleast SSLs in the rear.

Ive got the SSVs, love em. wanted em so bad..
ended up getting some Calais V wheels because they came up cheap.
two weeks later some SSVs came up and got them.

the calais wheels where nice, but you know that feeling of when you want something you gotta have it.

Not everyone needs/wants the 'fully sick' look. Going SSL just isn't practical for so many reasons. I'm not having a go Lincoln, just voicing my opinion. :)

Black wheels are all the rage this year. Whatever wheels you get make sure you get them done in black :)

My 2 cents, I dont think SSL's are excessively low at all when paired up with a set of 19's. I had SSL's in my ute previously when I had 17's, and like you Ronnie I had plenty of problems scraping the Di Fillipos, when I stepped up to the 20's the difference in ground clearance was like night and day. So much so that I was happy enough to drop some Dobinson Ultra Lows on (smidgen higher than SSSL'S) which is something I'd never contemplate doing with the 17's. So you may be suprised at how differently the car will sit with a bigger diameter tire on and reconsider the SL's, or not, each to there own:)

The Ultra lows on the other hand, well they're definitely on the too low side haha.

hmmm black rims..... :1peek:

anyone want to photochop

ive looked at other rims (supersports mainly) but keep coming back to the originals cos they just look damn good and suit the car and colour. Love the capri silver against the red. But would be good to see them in black

Cheers in advance.

atleast is SL =)

saying that is abit hypocritical on my behalf.. my drive was is epic and im hoping a stock height calais will get in there.

my current ute is pretty low, and is pretty close to the driveway.

but yeh, not only will 19s make the car BE a lil higher, but it will look a touch lower as the wheel will be closer to the guard

PS. could you send us a sound file of your exhaust, full difilipo extractors cats cat back??

Ronie, if you want a complete black wheel you'll need to get something painted/powdercoated. There are rims on the market that are black but have a chrome lip, but these look very different to a completely black rim. Depends what you like I guess. You can basically get any rim painted/powdercoated, you just need to choose the pattern/design that tickles your pickle. :)

Go 265/35/18 's they look nice and fat on the rear end. Got the guards rolled just in case a couple of mates got in the back. didn't rub normally.

I still like the silver wheels look on a black car. These rims are nice for stock, you can buy them brand new for about 1K at the moment from one of the sponsors but in the american gto style (more bright silver not grey).

Ronie, when you say 'silver SSVs' I gather you mean stock colour? Here's mine before I had them powdercoated.
