The rear garnish (matt black bit behind rear numberplate) is always looking tatty on both my Vy and Vz calais. I have tried silicone sprays etc - it only lasts a few days.
Has anyone sprayed the garnish in either a semi gloss or gloss black?
I think it would look pretty good....
If anyone has done it, can you post pics?
Cheers

While its not a calais (slightly different shaped garnish), mine's gloss from the factory (well colour coded) to give you some idea... I take it you've tried Aerospace 303 and the like?

i would imagine that it wouldnt look tooo bad on a non black car, but black with that matt black plastic looking number plate garnish does look a tad dodge.
n that gts does it for me.
Just get it sprayed the same colour as your car pal, you know it would look a million times better.
even if the paint wasnt EXACTLY matched, there is a chrome surround, so you wouldnt even be able to notice that easily.

Try painting it with black vinyl dye. I did my front grille with it and it came up like new.
