For all ute owners out there looking at a new hard lid, I noticed on the Holden website, they are doing a deal with every hard lid, you get a free lip spoiler valued at $295.00.

What are your thoughts on the lip spoiler?

Looks OK in the ad - might be even better if it was colour coded to the remainder of the vehicle.

So not being content with resticting visibility with the humps they are adding the spoiler.

Aftermarket (flat lids) all the way and pocket the $$$

Mate do your research at least try and sit in one with the factory lid & spoiler.

My aftermarket flat lid was over $600 cheaper than the factory lid and once I had the ute lowered the visibility out the back is not bad.

Ok I do without remote locking and a light but those things can be added.

That spoiler is a perfect match for their hardlids. UGLY!!!! :spew:

the spolier is not fopr the hardlids its the ones that are fitted to the underside of the front bumper(4th picture down second row)

Sorry, don't think that's right vicarious. The underbar protectors are almost $600 and even though I can't find anywhere that gives the special as quoted in post #1, the OP mentioned extra value of only $295. The :spew: roof spoiler also pictured in the pic you referred to I found later quoted at $195 unpainted, so I figure they're probably allowing $100 for painting. :confused:

Judging by their lid and antenna prices their prices are :shock:!! My lid fitted cost well under half that, though I believe that was an introductory price as they're now a little dearer - see http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/FLAT-TOP-PRODUCTS__W0QQ_armrsZ1

The aerials they have at $55 :eek: AussieTone and Chev can supply (pick up only for Chev, PM AussieTone if not local to Chev) for not much more than half that! :goodjob:

Viccarious - you are correct - it is a lip spoiler for the front of the ute. As stated in post 1, they are on the official Holden website if you look in the ute section.

I was misinterpreted, I know it's for the front bumper. I was saying that it is as ugly as the hardlid! :)

thats right wonky , adelaide ute acc. are pretty dear, for most of my ute stuff i found online & at a fraction of the cost. I think if the under bumper lip came painted it would be useful and good protection for some of the spoon drains, gutters, and car park stoppers.
