Hello all,

Wondering what i should start posting my MY09 VE 317 Clubby up for. Its all stock, no changes, no issues 22,000 on the clock most highway miles. Red in coulor. Pritty much perfect condition.

Im saving up/investing in a house up here, spoken to the accountants/advisors and its to good of an opportunity to give up, a 630,000$ home is renting out for $800 a week, so its a great investment. But unfotunatley i cant have a house and a car bank wont lend me both, so the car has to go :( But in a few years once i have some equity maybe a VF clubby will be with me

I would start at around 49k . I have had thoughts about getting rid of my MY09 clubby as well . Mines tuned , exhaust and otr intake , 9k on the clock . I would start mine around 49 i reckon .

I'm not answering your question I know, but cars come and go, there's nothing like the security and capital gain from quality bricks & mortar.

Well done and seize the opportunity:goodjob: it may seem like a sacrifice now but in a few years all worth it

The thing with carsales is that they might ask for $57-59K but will they attract buyers at that price. You could almost get a new Clubsport for that price.

And at that price, most of them are at car yards.. or there dreaming.

as excellent said "you can almost buy a new one for that much"..

At the end of the day its a buyers market when it comes to cars atm..

they are worth what ever you can get for them, even if its at a loss unfortunetly.

I'll be buying one in 6 months, but by them the E2 will have been out 6 mths so the value will depreciate even more, bad for the seller but good for the buyer.

You can only try, and see if you have any interest.

60K drive away at the moment for a VE 317 clubby, leather M6 etc. 50K may get you a quickish sale, bit more and you will have to wait a while.

How are you going with the sale of your clubby? I've got an LS3 karma (rare colour apparently) 09 plate with 20,000kms and I'm looking to get rid of mine now. Had too many problems with it for a brand new car. I was thinking about 50k but i'd be happy to get rid of it for 52k.

I'm looking to get an 08 BF II FPV GT. There are still some of these around with low kms and in auto as well, which i'm after (especially after the debacle that is the VE clutch :flipoff:)

boss 302 not 290. Pretty rare car, but yeah, each to their own... Just took an FG gt for a test drive and to be honest, can't really tell any difference from the hsv. Both sound like v8s and both go fast enough for me :)

bad luck Bud, hope you sell it quick.

There was another post on here about a young fella wanting to buy a new commodore... dealers must have a huge grin on their face when they see a young bloke wondering their yard looking at cars like the SS and the HSV range.

Personally i think its criminal that dealers sign these young blokes (under 25yrs) up to 50k + cars...knowing damn well that at this age driving the latest and greatest wheels is more like a dick size contest, and that this decision could cripple them financially for many years to come - I think their should be some sort of law against it or at very least 3rd party independant financial advise should be manditory for buyers under a certain age. :flipoff:

I was going to mention yours lethal - absolute crying shame to let one go, with those mods, for such a low price.

Sadly, that is the carmarket and the reason why I shall never buy brand new (unless on novated lease) because the depreciation / lost money is a complete and utter waste.

cheers

yeh I can afford it, but i'm sick of warranty issues and driving a manual. I've yet to see another karma hsv on the road.. that's rare in my books :)

geeezz... that's pretty bad, although redbook does say it's worth somewhere between 43-48k. I won't be selling mine for less than 50k. If I don't get that I'll put up with the warranty issues for the next 2 yrs until runs out.

I agree Macca, its bloody madness that people spend their hard earnt cash on something that drops in value so rapidly. If i couldnt buy a car under my business i wouldnt even think about buying new.

my advice is dont knock back your first offer, work with them no matter the price offered.
the one you knock back is the one you never get remember.

i recently sold a vxr, i advertsied it for 30k knocked back offers of 27-28, lowered the price some weeks later to 27 knocked back offers of 24-26............... sold car for $22k with 30kms on the clock

I know it's an "old bastards car" but I like it
Brand new 10series Calais-V V8,on the road business, for $54400
Hard to get what you're after for the Clubbie I think

Especially now since HSV substantially increased prices on E2.

Though I am amazed at the number of people with expensive cars and just how frequently some people upgrade.

u always have to tell urself as soon as a brand new car drives out of the showroom floor onto the road theres 10k down the drain unless u keep it till its death then u get ur money s worth
