Hey Guys,
Does anyone know if it is possible to get factory wheels resized (width) or if there is any companies that make non genuine wheels but differant sizes?
I want to keep the factory look of my VE, but want to run 19 x 10's on the rears?
Any info would be much appreciated!
Have a bit of a search mate, been run through at least a couple of times from memory.
Issue as I understand it - for road use - it would be illegal to modify a factory alloy rim, without it being a fully AS-compliant re-manufactured rim. That would be pretty pricey.

BMW X5 sport wheels are close and should fit a VE pretty close with regards to offset.
They are 19x8.5 front +45 and 19x10 rear +45. Paint them black or polish up ok. Piss the tyres off the ones below and put low profile ones on their. They do look better than in that photo though. Not a bad choice. They come up on e-bay every now and then for around $700 or so
You would run a hub adapter ring to suit the VE hub and these are legal to use unlike spacers

I used 18x8.5 BMW BBS wheels on my old VS using those adapter rings and the wheels sat on the hub perfectly.
I bought the rings off US ebay, they call them "hub concentric rings" and they come in a huge array of sizes.
you just need the inner and outer sizes.
By they way don't be tempted to use wheels with a larger hub bore with out the rings as all the weight of the wheels will be on the studs and not on the hub like they are supposed to be, plus its illegal to not have the hub rings if needed.

Ideally what I'am trying to find out is if any companies make the factory VE SSV wheels in a differant size 19x10 for the rears, I dont think anyone does but it would be nice if they did.
Cheers guys.

Asked the same question to the forum about 3 months ago still haven't come up with a good answer - I don't think it can be achieved. I have chased this question internationally also with little response.

Only real way of doing it if finding some one with a similar design to the HSV ROH wheels and going 3 piece. Have you called ROH to see if they can make one up. There might be a market for a limited run as you would thing some people may want 11 inch at the back with a small guard pump. The VE have huge guards now so a bit more wont hurt.
Give them a call and see what can be done.

hey lad imo it can be done but legally no, being a fitter and turner by trade its simple to part the wheel in half in the lathe and add in a rolled section of alloy, alum tig welded and then machined to run true, sounds hard but can be done the only issue is every holden rim i have machined is a high tensile alloy and to find a suitable peice to add will be the hard part, that is after you find a machine shop willing to do such a job. if it was a dedicated track wheel i would do it for my mates but never for a road going car as your TAC insurance will never hold meaning no compensation in an accident rims fault or not..... better idea is tobuy a after market set

Ring APS in Frankston. They did a yellow VZ maloo ute which ran stock rims although the rears were widened to 10". I dont know if they organised it or the owner did, but either way they may be able to assist.
