Hi gang.

Have been trying in vain to find a good place to go for a service. Keen to hear anyone's recommendations. Just a regular log book service required. Been to every dealership. All rubbish.

thanks

after a paid R&R of my HSV 3.7 diff which was a warranty item changover i got my car back with:
massive driveline vibrations which after 2hours of "visual inspection on hoist" most of it magically went away
bent tailshaft bolts including warped donuts
bottom edge of drivers door stripped back to metal
bent exhaust tip
scuffed rear bumper undertray
made me pay for car to be towed back to them then next day

Try Caltex Car Care Joondalup 9300 0303

Had my 30,000 km service done by these guys based on the recommendations above. First impression was that they were actually happy to see a customer walk into their business, not like the service areas at the dealerships where most times i feel like I am interrupting their conversation/sleep/latest novel read. Office and workshop were clean, neat and well laid out. Both of these factors gives an indication as to the attitude of the guys you are dealing with. Fantastic blokes to deal with, good price ($160 under the cheapeast dealer quote) and the car felt fantastic to drive afterwards.
After dropping the car off, within about 2 hours I had a message on my mobile saying the car was all done and ready to collect. They did a couple of things for no cost like adjust the handbrake etc. No major issues and they pointed out a couple of things to be addressed under warranty with the dealer, which I am so looking forward to discussing with my friendly Holden dealer.......NOT!!

Had my ssv wagon serviced there on friday for the 15k service. Very happy with the service and almost $200 cheaper than city motors quoted me. Definately recommend

How on earth do you get warranty on a HSV diff in a SS-V?

Same as when u buy anything for holden just because its not on a HSV doesnt mean it doesnt have to work, if its faulty its faulty.

If your near ozzy park I highly reccomend westec racing (aka tim slako)
have had all my other cars there but due to distance problems now I haven't been there for a while.

Tim and his crew are acctual mechanics which helps as I'm finding more and more that some workshops are just Bolt-on monkeys.

But anyway, the crew down there are very friendly and if it's a Ls1 then Shannon is the guru to see.

Cheers,
Nate
