HID headlights while you have it off, particularly with the HSV projectors. Front off makes the install easy and you can hide the ballasts well.

+1 for HID lights, the extra amount of light you get in the peripherals and the overall brightness is soo much better than stock halogens.

After this suggestion i had a search of the forum and have decided that i MUST do this, does anyone know what the Bulb types (HI/LO) are for the headlights, I might even put in the LED parks and indicators like some people have done. Cost???
Also what benefit do you get out of a power steering intercooler??
Air induction aswell??

From memory VZ use H9 and H11, but I can't remember which is high beam and which is low......... If you contact Gerald at www.gadgetmaster.com.au he will tell you I'm sure. I read on here that he may be overseas at the moment so may not respond immediately to emails.
I only put low beam HIDs in my VZ SS but got annoyed by the yellow of the high beam compared to the white light of the HIDs, so in both my VEs I've done both. The only slight downside is they take about 10 - 15 secs to warm up and achieve full brightness but you only ever notice that on high beams and once they're warmed up they come back on to full brightness instantly unless they're off for more than about a minute. Depending on how long they're off even then they come back to full brightness pretty quickly.
I think Gerald's lights are $200 for the 35w and $250 for 50w. I've only ever used 35w for low beam as to me they're more than enough but some people go for 50w even on low beam. For high beam my experience is go 50w. If you tell Gerald you're on LS1 he'll probably give you a discount and/or free next day shipping. There are cheaper HIDs out there but I and others on here have been using his HIDs for years with very, very few problems and even if there are he will resolve them with no problems.
He also has LEDs. In my VZ and first VE I used LED parkers from Autobarn etc and had continuous problems with them dying in anywhere from a day or two to about 3 months maximum life. worknssv and I now have some of Gerald's better LED parkers in - almost 6 months now and all four still going strong!

Perhaps i might just put a couple of the arctic blue globes in as high beams (had em on a forby for my low beam) they come out whiter and may not be as annoying as yellow.
cheers for the info, will have a look at that website and see what i find.
i look set to picj the ute up tomorrow!! can't wait :smilesandbanana:
