The actual size of fuel lines?

I want to fit 3/8" fuel lines for an LS1 in a kit car. I've measured the outlet on the fuel pump and the inlet on the rails and the OD on both is 3/8". If I order 3/8" aluminium lines I assume they are 3/8" OD. If I order 3/8" hose I assume it will be 3/8" ID, and it will all mate up. Am I on the right track?

Measurements of fuel hoses and lines all very depending on what they were designed for. I suggest asking your supplier or the new forum sponsor who deals with fuel system components.

Generally Rubber automotive fuel hose is measured by ID.
