20x8.5 will fit but the problem is the lack of tyre options so ive just found if you want a decent tyre and range go a 19 otherwise in a 20 youll be limited to nankang, nexen type tyres as they are the only ones which meet load ratings.

Youd want atleast rolled rear guards depending on size the problem is clearance from the spring seat on the strut.

mmmm
hence why i am leaning more towards 19's at this point in time, purely for simplicity for the time being, and apparently 19's allow me to lower it too...
did i hear correctly?
on that note, how much is it to roll the guards out?

See Australian LS1 and Holden Forums (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=108439), particularly post #13. If you want to stay legal and not run into problems with insurance then probably best to go and see someone at your local VicRoads office and get them to write it down for you (better than ringing them and getting some no name Wally you can't quote).

19's go 245 on the front 265 on threar with rolled guards no probs on a 8.5 width rim :) but if ylou want to stretch your guards go 305's on the rear:)

You beat
I have 19 x 9 with 255 tyres front. No guard mods etc and about stock height. No rubbing on turning corners etc. Perfect offset wheels
Back I run 19x10 with 295 tyres. About 1 inch at home guard pump. Need engineering sign off for the wheels but no biggie. Quite low on the back and only slight touch on big bumps.
