Gday guys,

so...how good is your workshop?

if your getting a service do they give you a lift back to work? do they let you into the work shop part itself? do they stop you if your about to do something unesisary? (even if it ment they got more money) Do they give you the opertunity to open an account with them if like me, you end up spending your money left over on going out?

i have found such a place and will stick with them for life (or aslong as i live in W.A)

i drop my car off and get picked up by the general manager, but my man would drop me where i needed to go if asked, im good at swinging in on lunch breaks and give him the "hurry up, isnt it done yet" and when it comes to being allowed in the workshop i prolly spend more time under the hoist poking and prodding and looking than what he does while working on it, does help when your good mates and usually there once ot twice a week for a yak

powertorque for me, they've always been truly excellent. straight advice (dare I say "no bull") and always offer me a car if I have to get going. Shaun especially has great customer service skills aswell(not that the others dont, but shaun is the front line as far as customers go) which is extremely rare in a workshop of any sort. He will always give you an honest opinion/estimate of whether or not something is worth doing. As for an account, well no, but I dont expect that at all, I'm not a trade/commercial customer and I spend a relatively small amount there, although it certainly adds up over the years!

Pro auto for me, good friendly service. Good price and they have always helped with any little niggles with the car. ie boot release not working (no charge)
If i was still in Melb it would be Chevs, good old fashioned service and help.

Mine's pretty good. I Get a VE SSV to use when the car is in the "shop" and it has "free fuel".

Don't get charged for anything as well so I will be a long term client.

Mechanics a bit of a worry sometimes though. Not a fan of getting his fingers cut.

I hear rumours of a dyno coming soon...

Davo why don't you just post up the workshop that you've had good service at?
Share it with the forum...
I've had good service at WA Performance.

This all sounds good, but are they charging you more $$ in the long run...i.e. Does a 50k service cost $300 there, as apposed to $200 at another reputable service centre? (just an example btw)

hey there guys,

I may aswell say where i take my car.

MCE motorsport in wangara, its owned and operated by Terry and his wife Kathy.

As for if i pay that little more in the long run, its worth it if the level of service stays the same in my opinion. obviously we all have our favorite workshop and that we wouldnt take our car anywhere else.

my focus was purely based on customer service and that little bit extra they do for you compared to more "generic" workshops.
