Do you need to take them down GOR for away games?
Nope, away games are only as far as Geelong, and end of season trips will be to Sydney.

i would recommend speaking to bouka as he basically has a soccer team as a family.
also the only person i know who is such an expert with the tarago and had so damn many of them.
he also can advise u which cam to put in, size of exhaust, maff or maffless tune and some coilovers to aid getting the kiddies around.
i know he has in development a custom OTR and a twin screw blower in conjunction with the matador himself, voodoo
its an exciting time right now for soccer mums out there!

The Honda should handle ok around tight bends, so long as you keep it out of the VTEC zone, otherwise hello tree, good bye soccer team..
N.B. Im definetly subscribing to this thread....

But the V-TEC is good for the mums running late, which can happen when trying to organise a group of well anyone really. But then the dark horse Tarago with VVTi could put you out the way.
holy fanizzle tha v-tec just spooled up yo!!!!

totally agree there the rush u feel when it kicks in man...fuucken insane
it seems the tarago more predictable and linear power would be the better for the average soccer mum to handle.

Tarago has the aurion V6. I remember seeing a drag between a tarago V6 and a BF Falcon a while back on TV - from memoey the Tarago gave the falcon a real run.
Thats pretty good going for a bus.

I'm actually also a little worried about the position of the shift stick in the Odyssey.
You would need to hold it in the 'wank' grip to shift between gears, which would not be a good look in front of the children..
F me that was random...

Kimbo, convert the Tarago to AWD, drop it on it's guts with some mega stiff springs. That thing would handle like it's on rails. Throw on a set of 26" and you'll have a pretty shmick soccer-mobile.

tarago with a 2JZ or 1UZ transplant, that would go hard. RWD powerskids to school thanks mum

Tarago V6 is the most powerful Toyota currently on sale. Get it for the bragging rights alone?

I have a 08 tarago but not the v6. if your going the v6, go the tarago.
If not maybe the odyssey would be better.
As far as handling goes i think the tarago is comparable to a nissan gtr. Jks. It handles like a fridge. i think the honda would handle better due to it being lower, more like a car.
Done a few long trips though and its awesome, heaps of room, comfortable has no balls but was still stable at 160 (private road).
Cheers
Paul.

Kim the Odyssey is a good thing and can be made to look ok:

But I am no expert - you need to speak to Bookclub's most fertile man, bouka for expert advice on this and other matters :jester:
