hey guys

i searched the forum and many websites but couldnt find what i was looking for

Basically i have a black monaro, and i would love to have a color like the Fusion

( which is like Ziggy's Monaro which i really love :) )

But the problem is the only color we have avaible here is the tiger mica from , which i can source

So my question is , how can i get the Tiger Mica color to be as close to the Fusion during the painting stage ?

Also if i used a different coating base coat , something such as

GOLD METALLIC BASE COAT - or SILVER METALLIC BASE COAT

would that have a different effect to what is traditionally used ?

Btw, do they add pearl in the paint, and if not, do you know if it will effect it alot ?

Thanks alot guys

so i was looking for a good and available alternative :)

You guys dont have to answer all questions, if you can help me with any that would be greatly appreciated :smilesandbanana:

Thanks

I have seen a Fusion Monaro parked next to a Tiger Mica SS Commodore. To be honest I found it hard to see how the colour was different.

In my opinion - Paint it tiger mica if that is easy for you to get your hands on.

If you do any special effects to the paint it will make it difficult for touch ups in the future.

First question is what brands of paint are availiable to you over there?? When you know that you can contact the Australian distributors and they can tell you the paint code and the make up of that paint code. I can't see the paint shops having any more or less base colors that here. They will also be able to tell you the correct way to lay the paint. I can't see it being very complicated as it is a factory paint job.

Pretty simple solution. I'm sure you'll find Glasurit or BASF Coatings over there.
Go to this site http://color-online.glasurit.com/?language=8 enter Holden, then from the drop down under colour name go to Fusion Met, hit start search and you'll get a formula.
Take this to a panel shop that uses Glasurit and away you go.
