VE Alternator Humming for long periods

[Highway]

Hum is starting to piss me off with it constantly happening all the time every night.

Holden of course say all is normal and nothing can be done.

Has anyone had there alternator modded/rebuilt to fix this problem or is it not possible.

Does it make the noise because it is running at capacity ?
( Holden don't want to talk about it much )

Someone mentioned they imported a alternator from the states.
Is that the only option !!

Since having the battery charging system fixed by Holden due to dampness/moisture in the main connection to the battery the humming noise has decreased by approx 80%.

Anyone who has the humming to often like I did maybe get Holden to check out the connections for moisture problems.
