hello all hope all is well.. did 2004 vy ss have duel climate control or only the calais,,,does anyone know? what about in the early models> etc vt-vx?
is there any difference in the bcm.. l like to convert from manual to climate.

Single climate control only came packaged with leather interior from memory. Standard was manual air con. Dual climate was not available.
There are dozens of threads asking about climate control conversions, so this will be shut down if you ask again. Do a search under "climate control". It's a big job.

ok,,did some more research,,one question,l understand that a low bcm will not work,,and a high level bcm, will work,,but will a mid level bcm work??

did the vy ss 2 with climate control,,does that have a mid or high level bcm,,anyone,check theres?

ok,,l didn't think the vy ss came out with duel,,,yours might be an high level bcm. lm sure only the calais had the high..

ive never used my climate control ? always just set the a/c to a tempreture and fan settings i want, since most climate control seems to always use full fan speed...

That aint standard as far as I know.. Got a pic that also shows the dash?

I'd be very surprised if it did. My VZ SS only had single zone climate.
PS to those who think their climate control is fighting with someone :eek:, it's duAl not duEl.

I thought the dual was only available in Caprice, Grange etc?

No all long wheel base cars and high luxury short wheel base cars had it. Eg Calais, senator. That's it till ve anway

Dont know if it was optional or standard but here is the picture.

Pretty Sure Crewmans had it as well.

You will most probably find in some models that the blue and red buttons on the left are maximum heat and minimum cold buttons, ie pressing them will set temp at 17 degrees and 28 or 30 degrees or watever, thats the case in my VZ Thunder anyway.

Maybe but the owners manual lists it as dual climate control, i dunno maybe some one can verify this.

The one in the photo above is a dual one tho as it has 2 temp settings on the screen. Normal climate control ones only have one temp. displayed on the screen.

Might be a wagon SS unique feature. Never seen an SS sedan with dual climate.
Anyway, as far as answering your question goes, it doesn't matter what system you are interested in. Either is a big job.

yeah,,big job,,but l have a vy ss 11 , here with engine fire damage,,, so l had to change the loom anyway,, could,t find a manual climate loom,, so l fitted a climate control loom,aswell the heater box to suit, thats why l was inquiring about the bcm,, but the indash module l have, is from a vz calais, and that will be a duel,, l dont care about the duel, just hope it dont give me a head f@#$.

Yeah I've never seen it either mate. Hence I asked for a Pic. If your not to busy tomorrow Dave could you look it up and see what other models may have had it too. Obviously not Sedan.. But possibly Crewman or Cross 8. I don't mind knowing useless info like this.

To VY*SS*II*Wagon. Does your wagon also have a three window trip computer?

No it doe's not have the 3 window trip display that is Calais that have that.

Yeah I know. But since before your car I always thought dual zone was calais too I thought I would ask.

Oops...... :doh: Senator Mike had a VY SS wagon so hopefully he can answer the question as to whether his also had dual climate.

My climate control module was dicky when i bought the car and i replaced the module with a second hand unit from the wreckers and i know for fact it come out of a Crewman so if you want to know about the system i suggest you have a look at one of them models, same setup.
