These have grown on me a bit from when they were launched. I still hate the rear. One thing i really like is the new british racing green colour. A few pics of a maloo on here. Seen a E2 clubbie in red the other day, looked good but i still think i prefer the look of my E1!

Again hard to say till i have seen a few more on the road and in the flesh.

I am not a fan of them. I have never really been a fan of the E1, but i will say, they are better then the E2. I seen one at a dealership today at Motorama Springwood (next to the M1), sitting on a high platform for everyone to see going down the highway. I dont think they look any better in person then they do in the pics.

I do love the Poison Ivy colour though.

I saw my very first E Series 2 HSV GTS on the road today. It was a red one with the SV enhanced options.

Guys it looked sensational. The front of the car just looked so tough and the driving lights looked really good. Even the back of the car looked fantastic and I didnt think I'd like it going off the photos.
Now I'm not normally a red car fan but this car just won me over with the mixture of black and yellow.
What I love is that now there is no mistaking a HSV from any of the other Holden models.

My E Series 1 GTS looked pretty aged in comparison:bawl:

Ohhh I really want one of these .. grovelling to the wife bigtime!!! Selling my kids LOL

Saw the E2 range in the flesh for the 1st time yesterday.

Looking like i will sell the LS3 Maloo and buy a E2 Senator :)

Not a fan of the looks of the Clubby or GTS or Maloo front end.

Not sure if its a design flaw or not but has anybody else noticed the standard 19" wheels on the E2 Clubby point forwards on one side and reverse on the other side?

It would put me off to the point of ordering the symmetrical styled 20" as an extra cost option.

Haha, so now they need left and right wheels, as well as front and rear. No more easy rotation of tyres from left to right, unless you take the tyres off.

I wonder what the spare would be.......

BTW, has this continuation thread died ever since it became a continuation thread?

Hey, you're right!

The fact that the front tyres are 245s and the rears 275s also makes things just unnecessarily hard! Poor standard R8 owner.

This would have to be one of the biggest stuff ups that HSV has made! :bawl:

Then again, I wonder if HSV have done that deliberately to get the customer to spend more on options?.....

Spotted my first E2 on the road the other day, a red GTS. I must say the E2 looks absolutely sensational in the flesh and all critisizm of its styling based on photos should be taken with a grain of salt.
The DRL's really stand out like dogs balls... I spotted it from a few hundred metres away and immediately knew what it was.

I have neither ford nor holden loyalties and as stupid as it sounds, the thing that made me decide to by a clubby over a fpv Gt was the wider rear tyres. I love the look of fat rear tyres :goodjob:

I totally agree...

Today i spotted a parked Black E2 GTS, pretty sure it didnt have the SV option pack.

In Black it looked bloody tuff and much better than i imagined, including those rims haha Even my sister thought the front end looked tough :)

Maybe i've swung on board now? :1peek:

I agree but the thing I absolutely hate about the E2 range is the povo pack R8 Cubby's wheels. That's a huge turnoff in my book. It's like wearing your shoes on the wrong feet.

Love the new HSVs they make the E1s look dated.... especially the GTS. It rocks! :goodjob:

Btw, the thing I hate about the FPVs is the crappy wheel size and design. But I don't want to start a F vs H sh!tfight.

While I was undecided about the E2 looks I test drove an F6. I have no particular brand loyalty and have had Fords and Holdens on an off for years. Have to say though it would need more than bigger rear tyres to tempt me into one, the chassis has major problems conveying all that torque to the ground and the brakes are woeful and the seats uncomfortable.

Hahaha, these E series HSV's came down several thousand from the Z series, but seem to cost a lot more to maintain.
Makes me glad I drive a pov SS.:)

An employee here at work just arrived in a black E2 GTS with the bigger brake package and sunroof this morning. Very nice looking, not sure about the rims . They look better in the flesh but not sure if I'd want some.

It has the bimodal exhaust on it, not sure if that is an option or standard on the GTS.
