Hey guys,

I need some advice on tyres... EG what to buy, from where and for how much. (located in South East Melbourne)

235/40/R18

Tyres will be going on a VX SS with around 330rwkw. Car is a Sunday driver, and will be driven fairly hard with serious cornering. Ideally im looking to spend $1200-1400 fitted and balanced. Need something that will last at least 25,000kms, with grip/cornering in all weather conditions. Dont care about noise.

Cheers, Errol.

Hanook S1 Evo offer great grip at a reasonable price. Ask Tuffie on here about his opinion of these tyres. They are perfect for a weekend car

PM sent about what tyre shop

For sure....go to John Souvas aka "Black Diamond" this forum....aka Bridgestone Oakleigh.....he'll give you the best, most impartial advice in Melb.
HEAPS of happy forum members will attest to that.
Cheers, Pickles.

I use the Maxxis MA-Z1's on my barge, $250 a corner for 245/35/r19's and great performance wet and dry. I used the 235/40/r18's on my previous VY SS as well, 4000k's from Perth to Darwin without a hitch, through rough roads and torrential downpours, the car always felt solid on the road at speed...

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Mick
