Looking at the new GTS, I think yellow is the new 'in' colour, like this guys spew: :spew:

Red on white just wouldn't go I reckon.
Personally, I'd just go silver to make it look new again

Post a photo of the car with the wheels.
Depends what look your trying to achieve.

Here's a few of my old VY ... gives you an idea of what red looks like;

I'd always go red.

i can post a pic later. But like the above pic, they dont stand out to much but enough to get noticed a little, i went with a slight darked red, nothing bright. I wouldnt go black, kinda seems pointless unless they were large calipers, black will just blend in to much, but would look better than the shitty rust colour

I know it isnt a white vy ss but they are painted brakes none the less.
Just throwing up a different option for ya

I went with black and silver, in a similar combination to the red and silver above. But my car is blue. Red is just so common these days, unless they're Brembos of course, otherwise you just look like a try hard, IMHO.

unless their big brake kits i think they just look try hard in red. Paint them black or silver or jsut save for some 4 piston harrops or APs.

I couldnt paint my calipers red..... it would draw attention to them, and they are standard.

I agree red/yellow etc would be good with genuine big brakes like brembos and harrops/APs

My thoughts are red and black like my pbk1 kit, I think they look good but not tacky as they have the 330ml rotors so they dont look stock,

Very nice mate, how much are the rotors worth?

HSV2B, I managed to get a complete kit for 1k landed F&R inc lines and pads, with VE calipers, the kit has been okay, I had a few troubles instaling them ie having to trim the rear shock covers 40mm so the wouldnt hit the banjo bolt on big bumps but other than that a big diffrence in stock brake package. When the rotors are kaput I will probably just go out and get some DBA 4000s, only thing is im finding hard is getting some decent pads for VE callipers?

i think it depends on the car and what colour scheme you have going. mate of mine has white fg xr6t and is looking to do his black and blue, same style as the red and blacks previously posted by mohit. this will tie in with his interior which is black with blue highlights.

so to the haters lets remember not every one has 1000's to throw at there brakes when they only want them to look a bit neater then what holden gave us.

in the end dude its your car and do what you want to it and dont worry about wat anyone else thinks. id probly go the black and blue if i was you, i may even do it to mine in the same colours

i would have gone yellow !

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/wm.php/images/brembo996tt1.jpg

but also agree, if their tiny stock brakes, then they wont look as good as giant brembos. but its your car, do whatever you want! why not even go for glow in the dark paint :D

get a photo of a hsv logo and play around with the sizes of it till you can get it right for the caliper, this may need you to print off a few attempts to get it. once the correct size is found take it to a sticker maker and get them to make you some stickers with the logo cut out so you can cover the whole caliper with the sticker and only leave the logo to paint your desired colour. im thinking of doing the same thing but with a "ss" logo. will be black outer frame with either red or blue centre and thinking of having silver ss logo

nah mate the HSV part is actually cast / stamped / engraved into the caliper so stickers wont work. i need a way of painting the caliper and then only colouring the HSV logo part.

You should see it now, ive seen 3 lions and a giraffe grazing out there.

Ive had the the calipers on for a few months now and they're as clean as they were when i put them on so you might be surprised.

I was looking at a link earlier for polished calipers and they looked hot

Ceramic coating for the win!

I painted my calipers silver the first time round, I wasn't over the moon with the look (I didn't think there was enough contrast).

Painted them red second time round and was happier. I thought it might be a bit try hard myself painting them red, as someone pointed out earlier, but at the end of the day I know I'm not trying to pretend ther something else. They'll do until there's something decent nestled in there anyways haha:)
