Well i have a stock one thats about to go in shortly for a Ziggy's and mafless tune (+ auto tune).

ATM I find the auto ok at times, and other times frustrating as it doesnt kick down fast enough on mild throttle changes (i.e. labours engine unless you give it a BIG bootful - then it'll go too far down and roar off). If you give it a bit, then back off, the gearbox decides you're in the twisty's and it holds gears even though you're on cruise throttle.

I guess as my first auto its OK (certainly better than the POS 4 speeder from earlier models). But i still find it frustrating at times. I hear the tune will go a long way to making it better (which i look forward to). Will post up once ive had it tuned and will let you know.

I have one also and agree with gtr27 comments - i am considering a tune just for the improvement in the A6 alone. There are times when I go for some slight throttle only to get no reaction, other times its in the wrong gear and kicks down hard and other times when I simply need to give it a bootful for a decent response.

Yeah i have to agree with you both on that one even though it was in my SSV ute but i have just bought an MY9.5 CalaisV 6 litre auto wagon as we have a new bub now and the mazda 3 is a bit squishy in the passenger front seat with bubs seat behind it.

The gear change in the ute was either nothing or too much throttle and you look like a hoon.

Im swapping the twin 3" diffillipo system over to the wagon with the russo CAI and do a mafless 2 bar tune so that it doesnt sound like a washing machine on spin cycle any more and then it should sound like its meant too.

The car is second hand with only 14000km on it but it is like brand new with everything apart from sat nav which we didnt want anyway. Picked it up in evoke grey and it looks awesome. Was quite cheap i though at 46k considering there 63k new so we were happy. Now to sell the ute once the goodies are off of it.

good work...

I ended up with a DUS OTR and OzTrack tune and the A6 is like a whole new gearbox. Very pleasant to drive in all conditions.

That being said I would give it away tomorrow if someone offered me 46k for it ! Only has 9000km on the clock, leather, sunroof, 19s etc.
