Any risks involved driving the car like this? Or will just get worse over time? Thanks for your reply :-)

Well just started the car up this morning no noise at all :-S Yesterday when i left for work and heard the noise the car had not been started for 1-2 days. But today nothing :/ I will still end up getting it replaced as the car has done 95,000

Just get the genuine thing from Holden, I paid $45 last time. I've gone through a couple due to coolant leaks, swapped for an aftermarket one and it started squeaking after a week (after fixing the coolant leak), switched back to genuine and it's still going strong.

Yep ... is it a DAYCO brand belt?

I've had 2 consecutive DAYCO belts do this ... swapped to BOSCH and genuine OEM belt and no problems since.
