Vy hsv series 2 airbox into vz ss

Hi ,

I was wondering if anyone has fitted the HSV series 2 VY airbox to their VZ, and if they had any troubles with the coolant tower. The box appears to have a shute that goes to the side (maybe to the guard or behind the headlight). If so, does it clear the coolant tower.

Also, if i get one, should i fit the monaro heat shroud and leave the snorkel that was going to the radiator shroud, or leave it on. If i leave it off, would you receommend someone covering that inlet hole in the VZ .

Hi i had one fitted to my ss fitted no problems at all . as for the second question i cant answer that as i fitted the pipe that draws air from under the bonnet back on .

I've got my VY GTS airbox in our VZ SS with no problems... What's the actual difference between the 2 boxes? Won't they work the same with the 2 hole mod anyway? (I only changed them over as the GTS one was already modified).

I only recently removed a VYII 285KW airbox from our Monaro.
I modified it to incorporate the original MCAI with both openings, worked very well.
