Hi Guys,

Well, got my gauges today and set about installing them.
I have a VZ SS.

Step 1. Remove the surround around the instrument cluster. 2 screws hold this in.
Step 2: Remove the 4 screws holding the instrument cluster in place. At this stage, I pulled the steering wheel all the way forward and down to give me clearance.
Step 3: Pull out the cluster, and unplug the plug at the back.
Step 4. Expose the wires, and find the wires you need from the diagram supplied with the gauges.
Step 5. Wire them up! Use solder, and do a proper job so they dont come apart weeks, months down the track!
Step 6: Once all wired up, i hooked the gauges up to ensure that all was working before i started putting the dash back together. It worked first time!
Step 7: Run the wire and push up in the general direction of the pocket to make it easier to grab.

All up, about 30 mins from starting the 2 screws to testing the gauges.

Next is the Pod Holder Mounting..

Now, as far as putting the pod holder in, i believe that modification is needed. This weekend I will be pulling apart the centre console and modying the flip up pocket to house the pod holder. Any help appreciated here with pics of what people have done would be great! Otherwise its going to be slow going on saturday!

Thanks..Hope the wiring part helps people...

Hey
Yeah I have climate control..But am going to actually remove the top half of the flip pocket, cut into that so the gauges fit and then sikaflex it to the pocket... (it that makes sense)
Will post pics if it works!!

Keep us posted on how this goes, I have the same set up but would love to keep the storage compartment for the remote for the garage etc.
